Highly recommend!! Was in and out in about an hour for an eye exam and picking out new frames! The staff is extremely friendly, and the optometrist genuinely cares about patients. The entire staff was super helpful in helping me pick out frames, and answered all of my questions and concerns. Love it!

I hate to say it, but this place is just unprofessional. The first time I went there they were having a literal party with a bunch of other eye industry people. They offered me charcuterie(which the doctor was chomping on during my exam), but all I wanted was an eye exam. Needless to say, it was difficult to concentrate on the eye exam. They probably shouldn't schedule appointments during parties. I figured I'd give them a second chance though and see what they were like when they weren't having a party. Turns out - not much different. There were like 3 or 4 employees there that day other than the Doc, and they were unbelievably loud. I could hear them through the wall during my exam laughing as loud as possible, talking as loud as possible and pretty much hooting and hollering the entire time I was there. Needless to say I couldn't concentrate this time either, and probably ended up with a slightly off script as a result. I kept waiting for the doctor to ask them to pipe down, but she didn't seem bothered by it. I believe in having fun at work, but there's a limit. In retrospect I should have spoken up, but then again, I shouldn't have to.

They had a nice arrangement of glasses, but awful attitudes. The main person I worked with acted as if I was a nuisance spending $600. I had another pair of glasses I wanted to get lenses for, and will just go down to Big City Optical as they have been way better to work with.

My experience at the Custom Eyes location in Logan Square was unfortunately marred by significant inconsistencies in service and product fulfillment. While I did encounter some genuinely friendly and helpful members of their staff, other aspects of my interaction left much to be desired. During my multiple visits to the store, where I consistently observed a team of two to five employees, I was struck by the contrast in their approach to customer interaction. While a majority of staff members were welcoming, one individual consistently exhibited a dismissive and unprofessional demeanor, even drawing the attention and comment of another customer present during one of my visits. More concerning were the repeated errors in my custom eyewear order. My glasses were returned incorrectly on four separate occasions, initially due to improper lens centering and subsequently with the inclusion of bifocal lenses, which were not prescribed. After a considerable period of back-and-forth attempting to resolve these issues, I was ultimately informed that my glasses had been lost. This revelation, following a series of errors and delays, reflects a significant failure in their quality control and customer service protocols. While I acknowledge the positive engagement with some of the Custom Eyes team, the repeated mistakes in my order and the eventual loss of my glasses lead me to express significant dissatisfaction on top of time wasted. Potential customers should be aware of the inconsistencies in service and the potential for significant errors in order fulfillment at this location.

I had a great experience here today. The receptionist was named Ireland and she was super nice and scheduled me for an eye exam the same day. Dr.Sadie Sholl was super attentive and walked me through everything since it's been a very long time since I've gotten an eye exam. I've never had such a good experience during an eye exam before. I told her that in the past my eyes have had a hard time adjusting to the lenses. She made sure that I was comfortable with the prescription that she prescribed and even had me walk around the room with a pair of metal glasses to see how I felt and made sure that I was happy with the prescription. I will definitely be back here for my future eye exams!

I absolutely loved my visit here. Making an appointment online was so quick and easy; I was able to schedule an exam for the following day. Staff was so accommodating both during and leading up to my visit -- it was super easy to submit insurance info online and over the phone, but I also felt so cared for with each and every person I interacted with during my exam. Phenomenal service and immaculate frames, I cannot wait to be back in a few weeks to pick up my new glasses!

I had an amazing experience at Custom Eyes. They were able to fix a pair of glasses I thought were done and needed to be tossed. The employee I worked with was super friendly and took the time to get them as good as new again. My wife was also blown away by the experience of coming here after years of going to Pearle Vision. They have an excellent selection of eclectic frames and were super easy to work with for insurance. Thankful to have this wonderful shop in the neighborhood.

I feel like everyone posts reviews when they are negative and never when they are positive. So I happy to give a well deserved positive review. The girl that checked me was sweet and very helpful. She knew what my insurance covered and did a nice job of helping me stay within my budget. That has never happened to me, at my previous eye doctor. They actually would get upset if I passed on glasses. The doctor was wonderful, she was so thorough and detailed. She checked my old glasses that I use for driving and my computer glasses, and I since my prescription had not changed much, she didn't push me into new glasses. I LOVE THAT! I get that it's a business but if I don't need new glasses don't push me to replace them, it's more important to have a happy customer leave and return than to push a sale but lose a customer. This is a great location, I will continue to come here and will purchase all my future glasses from Custom Eyes in Logan Square!
