Dr Charmi is the best. She and her team have the newest and best technology that helped make the entire process seamless and comfortable. She also really took her time to explain things in detail, which I like, and educate me on what I needed to improve. We updated my contact prescription today as well. It actually went down and improved my vision. So glad to have my long term eye health in the hands of such a capable team. Happy to have found my eye care home.

My husband and I have been going to Dean Optical for many years, and even though we've moved from Chicago, we still make it a point to get our annual exams there when we are in town.
First, Dr. Charmi had big shoes to fill when Dr. DeLee retired, but she was absolutely amazing. She was very patient as we tried to figure out the best multi-focal contacts for my eyes, going through multiple test lenses to find the right fit. She took the time with me and discussed all the different options. She also counseled me on managing my glaucoma and offered to send my chart to my doctor at home.
Not only was Dr. Charmi great, but her entire staff - especially Joyce - were super helpful. Joyce helped me pick out new glasses and came up with a solution to save me on shipping costs. She is the best!
I highly recommend Dean Optical for all of your vision needs.

Hands down this was the best appointment I've had with any doctor. Cathy at the front desk was so welcoming. Dr. Charmi was very patient with my questions, very transparent about what they were looking for/what the scans showed, what to look out for, next steps for my issues, etc. Ana was very helpful and transparent with the cost and insurance aspect of everything and patient while I waffled on making my decisions. Also Dr. Charmi was masked, as all doctors should be. HUGELY important.
Another important thing I noticed from everyone was an absence of gendered forms of address or assumptions about what types of frames I would want to look at. I appreciated that SO much, and it might not even be an intentional thing on their end, but it was noticeable for me and made me feel even more comfortable here.

The staff was friendly, patient and attentive. And so was Dr Charmi who answered all of my questions and concerns. My Rx got updated after a thorough examination where I was actually feeling helped rather than rushed for something as important as my vision. We worked out the billing so as my insurance can cover the most of the cost. A huge leap from my previous eye doctor, hence this is a well-deserved recommendation to anyone considering Dr Charmi as their new doctor.
