Spoke with monica to set up an appointment. Right away, Terrible customer service, huffing and puffing on the phone as if doing her job was an inconvenience. I just wanted an eye exam for my eye glass prescription. She stated general eye exams aren't done with them but I had previously spoke to another lady Yule/lily who told me they can help me with the prescription with my insurance but glasses are out of pocket. I usually order online so that's not an issue. Informed Monica of that and her response was "well like I said we don't do general eye exams" went in person and scheduled just to find out she's just as unpleasant in person. Julisa ended up helping me schedule with a Dr Karolyn who does indeed do general eye exams.

I've been there twice for follow up after Cataract Surgery. Everything has been very friendly and professional. Appointments have been on time. Great parking and nice people. Highly recommend going to this place.

I called and spoke with yulisa/yui as she stated. She had a horrible attitude over the phone kept repeating herself getting loud and louder on the phone as if I was slow. She then put me on hold for a long time. When I came in for my appointment she was rude, got loud again asking for my insurance and was on her phone while I was standing in front of her desk. I heard the way she spoke to someone in Spanish and I was amazed how rude she was. In my opinion if you don't have good customer service don't work in a field like this. She was also very rude to older people. She was so rude in general and didn't even greeted the right way. Overall bad experience.

Great place to get your eye care. Experienced staff and doctors. Despite some complaints online about being strict with referral requirements, this is a rare practice that accepts insurances most other offices reject.

I went here with Meridian Medicaid and got a good, comprehensive eye exam. You do need to wait longer than if you go someplace else and pay out of pocket, but it was tolerable.

I've been a patient at Eye Specialists for years, and while Dr. Hillman is a pleasant doctor, I am disappointed that I will no longer be seeing him for my eye care. My issue lies not with the doctor, but with the staff. Over the years, my experiences have been inconsistent; some staff members are pleasant, while others are rude. My recent encounter with a medical clerk was particularly unpleasant. She was dismissive and unhelpful. When she asked for my insurance card and ID, I provided my insurance card but did not have my ID with me, as I had been dropped off. I offered to show her a picture of my ID on my phone, but she refused and insisted that I email her a copy. I asked her why a hard copy of my ID was necessary when they had not required it during my previous visits. She claimed they had it in their old system, but I expressed my doubt about that, explaining that I usually show my IDs and do not let medical facilities keep copies. She insisted it was a protocol to keep patients' IDs (Driver's Licenses) in their files. I requested to show my ID without them keeping a copy, but she rejected this proposition. My appointment was promptly canceled by her, and it felt as though I was dismissed as an unimportant patient as if my eye care did not matter. I believe this facility needs to be more flexible and recognize that not all patients are comfortable with their personal information, such as their driver's license, being copied and stored in files. A driver's license contains sensitive information that can be misused for financial purposes and identity theft. Given my experience with identity theft that originated from a medical facility, I cannot recommend Eye Specialists if you are uncomfortable trusting them with your personal information. The medical clerk was clear and direct that the Eye Specialists' protocol must have a hardcopy of patient IDs in their system. Go to a facility that doesn't demand keeping your DL on file, and be protective of your personal information. Most identity thefts come from medical facilities storing patients person information such as DLs. I suggest that Eye Specialists consider investing in a camera system similar to those used by larger medical facilities, which can take pictures of patients for their online profiles. It would be safer to stop storing patients' driver's licenses, as this practice poses a liability for the facility in case of a data breach. I certainly do not trust the rude medical clerk who made such demands for my ID.

Stephanie was the only person who was very nice. The rest of the staff was rude. Gave wrong info to my grandpa and I. They told us that if they have heart surgery or some similar that he would have to wait 6 months. Only 6 months is required for major heart surgery. The receptionist with tattoos has a horrible attitude problem. The other staff members have horrible attitude problems and seem to talk to their older patients as if they are stupid. The doctor waved his hand in my face to say the word "possibly" which angered me very much. I don't recommend this place at all.

I have been going to this eye specialist for many years. I'm guessing many more visits than most people. I have never had a problem there other than a bit longer wait before Covid. Recently I went there and the front desk staff was rude, not only to me but to others as well. I heard it with my own ears. Dealing with not only the public, but "patients" who are probably going through something difficult and scary in theirs lives. And don't even get me started on the fact that many of the people they are in contact with are elderly! And I get the mask requirement and I would never disrespect their request but it's hard to follow a requirement when you see a staff member disrespect and not follow the requirement. The girl setting up return appointments never had a mask on the whole more than an hour I was there. I don't know if anyone reads or cares about these reviews since I see a review that mentioned the non mask wearing appointment person some time ago but I will rethink my choices.
