I went back for the first time after new management. I was very pleased, the new doctor is friendly (female doc) and thorough with the exam and listened well. I got a recommendation for a different brand of contact lenses which I am happy about. They feel lighter and seem more comfortable. Everything about my experience was great. They removed the fish tank and I always liked to sit next to it and look at the fish swimming around.

So, so glad I came here! I have had tough experiences with the care providers set up by my insurance, and prepared myself for another unpleasant visit. Every staff person was kind, patient, and informative. Overall, my appointment was helpful and extremely clean. I am very happy with the care I received, and would definitely recommend Archer Eye Center to others.

This place does not even deserve 1 star. The staff at the front desk are unprofessional and careless. I arrived on time with my daughter for her appointment. I was told that my daughter was not covered by my insurance and was told that if I wanted my daughter to be seen I'd have to pay which I said no to. We went home, I called the insurance and they verified that my daughter is fact covered. I called eye clinic back, was put on hold then hung up on, called again and was put on hold when I finally got someone on the phone I asked the receptionist if they even bothered to call the insurance when I was there to check to which she said that they check on the insurance website, but they don't call. They give bad customer service and are dismissive of your time. I missed a day of work and my daughter missed school for nothing. Never going back here.

I've been to see Dr. Rubin twice now. Both he and his entire staff are amazing. Dr. Rubin takes the time to be thorough with his patients' treatment and explains everything. Each time I've left there, I felt informed and empowered to know EXACTLY what was going on concerning my eyesight. And I've gotta give a shoutout to his entire staff. They set the mood and help make every trip comfortable and easy. I'm so glad to have discovered this office. (Btw, this building has been renamed. It is now Archer Eye Care.)

I've been seeing Dr. Rubin for years. He is a great doctor but everything else in his office has changed and I'll never go back. I called to make an appointment and was not pleased with how I was talked to. It took a month before there was an open appointment. I arrived at my appointment and waited over an hour and still wasn't seen. When I told the front desk I was not staying as it was over an hour past my appointment time I was told "You should have told us you needed to be seen on time, we couldn't have tried to squeeze you in." EXCUSE ME?!?! I made an appointment for 10am, that should have been enough to be seen at 10 am, or at least close to it. I understand sometimes it gets busy and there might be a small wait. But being told "you're next" at 11:10 when you had a 10am appointment is UNACCEPTABLE. Never returning and neither will anyone else in my family. Complete waste of time!

I went in today and was having horrible pain in my eyes. Dr. Ruben diagnosed the issues with my eyes. He's a great eye doctor, he explained the issue and help me resolve the iusse. I highly recommend him. He and his staff were very friendly and helpful.

I recently saw Dr. Ponakala at this location and both he and his staff were fantastic! My grandma has been a paitent of Dr. Ponakala for years and loves him, we're very happy to have found him again after he left Krates. I believe he has also taken over Dangles Eyecare in Palos Heights if you're looking for more places to make an appt with him. If you need to see an Ophthalmologist I highly recommend Dr. Ponakala!

Love it great people, and not a long wait! Really take time to examine.
