I had a great experience here. The doctor was incredibly kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and sweet. I felt like I had known her my whole life! She was so easy to talk to. The two men who were working while I was there were so fun, helpful, and gave me honest feedback about the aesthetics of the glasses.
Yes, they're chic. The store gives posh. If that's not your vibe- maybe not your place. I think it's worth it to splurge on eyewear.
Sadly, the other reviews complaining that the communication here is terrible are right. The doctor was very nice, but they do not answer the phone, do not return voicemail messages, do not alert you when there is going to be a delay in product delivery, and won't turn over your prescription. Another reviewer summed it up nicely by saying it's a design store that is occasionally selling glasses, rather than a real optometrist.
If you actually need your glasses/contacts in order to function and need them in a timely manner (i.e., not just for fashion), go somewhere else.
The doctor was helpful and informative, but this place really does not operate like any optometrist I've ever been to. It's an interesting concept, but needs vast improvements to be considered a reliable eye doctor.
I'm not one to leave a poor review, but no one noticed when I arrived, they continued consulting their interior design customers.
After being sold daily-use contacts (first time in 12 years of wearing contacts that a doctor insisted I wear them) for a much higher price than online - I requested my prescription.
After picking up my contacts a week later, I then requested my prescription again. After another week of waiting I request my prescription again. They are only open 4 days a week and do not respond to email or phone.
Look, I'm only sharing so they either improve or other customers don't run into the same issues. I wish them all the best, but this is one of those places that will force you to buy their products, withhold your prescription (so you buy through them), and seems far more invested in selling their high-end decor to their high-end clientele. Please note, optometrists are legally obliged to provide patients with their prescription within 48 hours.
0 stars. I've been trying for over two weeks to get my prescription from them. Multiple calls, emails and no response. Really terrible service overall
The doctor is nice, but this place exists solely to sell designer art and maybe a few frames every now and then. Took them months to send me my prescription (illegal) because they wanted me to come in and buy $300 frames. Plus, it's been over a year since I've been there and have tried to opt out of their email several times but it never works, which prompted me to make this review in the first place. How tacky.
Absolutely terrible communication. Repeated mistakes of keeping me informed both for orders of glasses/contacts and appointments. Repeatedly canceled and rescheduled appointments with short notice and finally led me to getting a refund after months of miscommunications, delays and finally a failure to order contacts as they had confirmed.
Dr. Solanki squeezed me in right before Christmas, and was incredibly thorough and thoughtful during my eye exam. The clinic is tucked away in the most charming little home store. Highly recommend!
Terrible customer service, ignores you after you've paid, takes MONTHS to get glasses.
