Doctor Sabher...and his staff are the best. I woke up one day and couldn't see. I needed emergency surgery for a detached retina. My eye doctor immediately contacted Illinois Retina Associates. They took me immediately and took care of all admissions work, etc. Dr. Sabharwal walked me through my options and helped me decide on the best treatment. He managed to get me into Rush for immediate surgery. The doctor and the office staff could not have made me feel more comfortable in an emergency situation.

Naryan Ryan Sabherwal, MD, developed an early respect for the practice of eyecare growing up as the son, grandson and nephew of optometrists and opticians, in Erie, PA. As a frequent witness to the gratitude his father patients expressed, he became acutely aware of the vital role that vision plays in everyone life. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Health Sciences and a minor in Biology from James Madison University, and then attended Drexel University College of Medicine, in Philadelphia, where he was inducted into the AOA honors society. He did his residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He followed that up with a vitreo-retinal surgery fellowship at Rush University and Illinois Retina Associates.
