I had my first visit to Chicago LensCrafters this past December and the staff at Michigan Street were absolutely phenomenal!
To begin, I needed a new eye checkup as I wanted to update my prescription and this office came highly recommended.
The technician, Heather greeted us warmly and was very thorough and patient with checking us in.
As for the eye exam - Dr. Federica Violi was fantastic. She was very patient and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer all my questions as well as explain in detail her findings on the computer images. Her new prescription was a huge improvement to my vision!
Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Federica Violi and all the staff at this location as you are guaranteed a truly personalized and professional service where care for your vision is their top priority!!!
Great employees at this location. I went to the lens crafter by grant park and it was a hot mess with employees not following my request and providing wrong information. I found the glasses I wanted was here and the staff was able to assist me with my purchase with speed. They also were very nice. I plan to come back to this location only for future purchases
worst location ever, came in to pick up glasses that were ready and tried to be patient. waited 25 minutes and there were only 2 associates there on a tuesday night while there were 5 groups of people trying to order glasses. we waited patiently without a word from anyone (no "we'll get to you soon" or anything) and then people after us started the glasses buying process while i'm just waiting for my glasses to be taken out of a drawer
not the associates fault, but the store should be adequately staffed. meanwhile, my glasses don't fit but I wanted to leave the store before work tomorrow so i left without getting adjustments...
my glasses for some reason are literally round and not designed to fit a human head. i had the exact same pair last year and they didn't come circular... pic for comparison of this year vs last year (should be obvious which is which...)
i had the same experience last year when i tried to order sunglasses and they gave me literally round glasses and told me that's just how they're shaped
all of that for worthless glasses

Personality: Dr. Federica Violi was very pleasant, warm and approachable. I greatly appreciate the time she gave me without feeling rushed.
Skills: Dr. Violi showed her expertise through the use of modern machines and thorough explanation of my eyes condition using the images of my eyes . I have a better understanding of keeping my eyes healthy.
I have seen other doctors before. I value my eyesight. After consulting with Dr. Violi, I feel I found a doctor whom I can connect and trust.
Thank you Dr. Federica Violi !
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at LensCrafters.
I was really excited at first to get new glasses. When I initially went to pick up my glasses, the associate simply handed them to me at the register without sitting me down to ensure they fit properly. When I tried them on, just standing there at the register, I immediately noticed they were crooked and mentioned it. Instead of taking the time to sit with me and properly adjust them, the associate briefly bent the frames standing over the register and did not thoroughly check the fit or comfort. In addition to the lack of proper service, the associate's attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, which made the interaction even more frustrating. I left feeling rushed and undervalued as a customer.
A few days later, I returned because the glasses still were not right. Unfortunately, I encountered another associate who also displayed a poor attitude and seemed bothered by my request for assistance. He told me he would place a new order for replacement glasses. After waiting 11 days without any communication or update, I went back to the store to check on the status. I was again assisted by the same associate, who then informed me that the "order had been canceled." There had been no call, email, or explanation provided. He couldn't even look at me or even apologize.
At that point, I chose to request a full refund, as I no longer felt confident in the level of care, professionalism, or accountability at this location. Prescription glasses are a significant expense, and customers deserve attentive service, respectful treatment, clear communication, and proper follow-through. Instead, I experienced repeated indifference, poor attitudes, and a complete lack of customer care.
Needless to say, I will not be returning and now I don't have glasses. I hope this complaint is taken seriously so that meaningful improvements are made and other customers do not have a similar experience.
On October 30th at 7:15 pm, I went to pick up my glasses 15 minutes prior to the store closing. The sales person had the door lock, stared at me while eating a snack as I was standing there trying to open the door. It takes 10 minutes or less to pick up glasses. Absolutely unprofessional!
I've been getting my glasses here ever since the Sears Optical on Canal & Roosevelt closed, and honestly, this place just keeps getting worse. At first, they're all smiles and super helpful right up until you pay. After that? You're basically invisible.
I've been waiting over THREE WEEKS for my glasses. No call. No text. Nothing. When I finally call, they act completely clueless -- putting me on hold four different times in the same call, unable to find my order. I give my last name FIRST and I'm told, "That's not the name on the file." Like... my dude, it's literally my last name, maybe try looking?
It really sucks that Sears Optical had to close. I used to actually enjoy going there and felt like a valued customer. Now, every time I walk into LensCrafters, I don't feel like a person just another transaction. I MISS SEARS OPTICAL, Luxottica your customer service is going DOOOOOOWNNNN this is lenscrafters i should be getting treated way better here.
Growing up, I always had the impression that LensCrafters was a discount optical store. However, the ones in affluent areas are nothing short of impressive. This particular store is conveniently located near several other stores in a shopping area I frequent.
I decided to give it a try because of its clean, modern, and fresh appearance. They also carry top brands like Tom Ford, Prada, and Chanel, and they have a wide selection of frames.
What truly impressed me was the exceptional customer service. Everyone was incredibly personable and welcoming, going above and beyond to make my experience truly memorable. The optometrist was knowledgeable and highly competent, even finding a solution that I hadn't been offered by other practitioners. I believe this will be a game-changer for me.
I highly recommend this LensCrafters to anyone looking for a top-notch optical experience.
