I took my children here for an eye exam a few days ago. Part of the paperwork includes a document stating that a privacy policy was given to the patient for review. You must sign this document agreeing that the policy was in fact given to you. I never received this policy so I did not sign the document. As we move on to get the kid's eyes checked I'm noticing that the lady at the front desk is doing everything the eye doctor should be doing. She's actually completing the exam but isn't writing anything down. I asked if the actual eye doctor could come in and was told he would handle the second part of the exam. My children and I were told to wait upfront. After 20 minutes of waiting I went to see where the doctor was. A receptionist pretended to be calling him on the phone and stated the doctor wasn't answering. She suggested that we reschedule. This was a complete waist of time and these people are beyond unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here.

A real unprofessional location. My wife had an appointment at said time. As always, she likes to be 15 mins early to her appointments. No problem right? Well, we get there and they say the doctor won't arrive until an hour later from her appointment time. After waiting close to two hours, they let her know he won't be showing up. That's pure ridiculous. They could've easily said, sorry but he won't come in and reschedule instead of wasting our time. During the time we waited, we could've gone somewhere else to get serviced. As I sat there, I watched how they treated the patients coming in. It was really sad. We definitely will not come back.

I used to love this eye clinic! But my last visit was completely unacceptable! I won't be returning next year. I had an appointment on a Saturday at 12pm and didn't get seen until 2:15pm. I asked the receptionist what was taking so long and she replied patients were asking the doctor a lot of questions. I found out when I did get seen that just wasn't true. We see the doctor and he sits there and look at me without saying anything and then I asked him to start because I had other things to do and my son needed to be seen as well. He starts and then takes a break and start talking to me about his wife and kids. He then asks me about my Apple Watch. I then try to redirect the conversation to our eyes and he takes a long pause and just start sitting there and staring at me. Without trying to be rude, I ask him if he's ready to see my son. He replies yes and sits there and stare at him. Luckily his assistant came in and interrupted to try and speed up the process. I eventually had to ask the receptionist if my son had an astigmatism because the doctor failed to mention anything about his vision. Long story short- we won't be returning!

I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here, unless you don't have a problem with how unprofessional they are. One of the woman who work there (whose name I cant remember) was not only giving my mother and I attitude, but was impatient with me when THE DOCTOR messed up my perscription. The doctor is friendly/talkative which I didn't have a problem with. Until she continuously kept repeating her mistake in which eye needed more prescription even after I repeatedly corrected her. Then they had trouble finding that I had put money down on my contacts already even though I had a handwritten receipt and continued to give attitude. I can't even get my glasses evened out without recieving attitude. Once I get my corrected glasses and contacts, never will I go there again.

I would not recommend this eye doctor to anyone. They are unprofessional and unsanitary. I visited it with my daughter in June (trying to support our local businesses)their computer systems were done because they were upgrading. The girls at the front do most of the eye exam and the equipment may be old school but wiping it done with a Kleenex and alcohol does not disinfect it. Nobody uses hand sanitizer after each patient. Not only did I get attitude when I went to pick up my glasses but the response I got from the young lady when I asked a question was mmmhmm. I finally got a word when I asked again if their system was up and running and could I pay with a credit card. The female eye doctor is friendly but she needs to focus on what she is doing, she got my daughters prescription wrong for the glasses and contacts. The doctor has to listen to her patient's especially when I kept repeating I speak English and she kept speaking to me in Spanish. I appreciate that she try's because it's mostly Latinos that go there. I believe it was a great office once but it has gone downhill since it gotten new owners. Professionalism ,common courtesy and respect is required when you work in a field dealing with patients, customers or any area dealing with people. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I would not recommend this eye clinic to anyone. I made an appointment and with the initial conversation told the receptionist I understood that the appointment was not covered under my insurance and that I would have to pay out of pocket. The clinics receptionist(s) called me a total of 6 times in a two day period to remind me that my insurance didn't cover the visit. I was then told again when I went in for my appointment. That makes a total of 7 times. When I actually saw the doctor, he diagnosed me with Keratoconus disease, sympathized with my condition, and let me know he would do everything in his power to help me. He made it appear that contact lenses would not help me and told me that I should go straight for surgery. (Cross linking) okay, fine. He asked me to give him a week and he would contact a specialist he knows who works with Keratoconus. I completely understand the concept of old school medicine and recommending patients to specialist you know will do their best, so I said okay. A week passed and I called the clinic to see what my next steps would be and no one could tell me anything. I called dillegently for a month and each time it appeared the receptionist become slightly more irritated with me calling and requesting the information I was promised by the medical professional. (They didn't have an issue with ensuring I could pay for my appointment 7 times). My last attempt the receptionist tried to schedule me an appointment with their office in which she told me "Our doctors are good! You will have a long wait time though because he spends more time with regular patients. But he is a good doctor." At this point I decided just to go somewhere else. In one weeks time I was able to see the specialist I needed and get the contacts that would work for me.... because they can work for me. On my way home from my new specialist; Midwest eye clinic calls me to let me know, a month later, Dr. Jackson was not able to get contact with his specialist friend. The assistant asked if I found another doctor to go to and advised me to use my medical insurance for whomever I will be seeing for my disease.. Don't go to this clinic.

This place is the worst eye clinic ever Bc my mom went there to take her eye test and getting her new glasses. She buy her new glasses and she pay like $370 on her new glasses. It had been a month and me and my mom keep calling them and they never answer her phone. SMH unprofessional eye clinic. Yesterday, my mom and I went to see the building and check what's wrong. There is a whole letter on the door saying some BS. I'm so mad and annoyed by this eye clinic . It's ashamed that a lot of people are having the same problem with this eye clinic as my mom. This eye clinic is very unprofessional because they should give all their customers their money back and let us know that they were closing. If anything, my mom is calling the news so everyone could know that this eye clinic is so unprofessional.

I dont understand all the whiner complaints. Dr Rao is the best. Had double cataract removal and see great now. After care was great as well. Receptionists were friendly to me on EACH occasion and visit. Never had issue with insurance or billing so Im not sure what all these neg reviews are about. understand that the place gets busy with all the Medicaid and Medicare people so waiting is expected.
