I not once BUT TWICE had a very bad experience with a heimstra optical office in SW MI. First bad interaction was during my eye exam. Not only was the lady extremely rude she would not give me an explanation as to why the FIRST AREA of frames I was directed to wouldnt work AFTER I was told those were the options I had to pick from. THEN she proceeds to slam EVERYTHING onto her desk as she gets up goes into the back and grabs a set of frames THROWS THEM ONTO HER DESK and says this is what you have to deal with because you have extra material on your lenses. REFUSED to tell me why I had extra material or why there was extra material. I was FORCED into a set of frames I DID NOT WANT. Get the exam all said and done and she goes you are done we will call you when they are in. This was on valentines day. 13 DAYS GO BY and I did not receive a phone call till AFTER I went calling looking for my glasses. These ppl had the nerve to tell me oh you should have gotten a call or text. I immediately said funny I can pull my phone and text records. I finally get back into the seat to try my glasses and had immediately said nope there's a problem. Mike the supposed guy stepping in for a manager goes what do you mean there's a problem. As I'm in the middle of telling him not once BUT TWICE he gets up and very rudely says well that's how you read. I said sir I CANT READ WHEN EVERYTHING IS BLURRY. Which is what I tried telling him 2 TIMES. He then continued to be rude so I said you know what I'll take my business else where as I got up to walk out. After I'm already outside this MIKE GUY DECIDES TO FOLLOW ME OUT OF THE BUILDING AND YELLS AT ME AS IM MORE THAN HALF WAY ACROSS THE PARKING LOT. THIS MAN CHASED AFTER ME AFTER I WAS ALREADY OUT OF THE BUILDING!!! I HAVE THE ENTIRE MOMENT ON VIDEO! Heimstra Optical in Paw Paw Michigan is full of old judgemental ppl who will follow you after you are already out of the building just to yell at you. Mike is the name of the guy who did this. I have called corporate TWICE and no call back. I have NEVER in my life been made to feel as if I'm a bad human simply because I have medicaid as insurance. DO NOT EVER GO THROUGH HIEMSTRA OPTICAL IN PAW PAW MICHIGAN

They sent me a refund check and when I tried to cash it at Chase I could not get it cashed because it told the teller that the check could not be cashed on this account. Why would they send me a check that couldn't be cashed on the account that it was written against?

Employees need to learn how to treat people with more respect and not take their frustration out on customers.
