I had a truly positive experience at MyEyeDr. in Chicago. I came in with a broken pair of glasses and, to my surprise, they repaired them free of charge, showing great kindness and genuine customer care. I also purchased a new pair of glasses and was very impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of the entire staff.
What I appreciated most was the way they combined exceptional courtesy with real attention to the customer. They made me feel listened to and supported throughout the entire process, while offering professional and competent advice that was perfectly tailored to my needs. It is rare to find such a balance of kindness, care, and expertise, and that made the whole experience outstanding.
I highly recommend MyEyeDr. to anyone looking for reliable, professional, and customer-oriented optical services in Chicago.
Dr. Scott is incredibly helpful and professional. He took extra time to make sure that my contact lenses fit correctly and were comfortable. The front desk was also patient, helping me find my insurance information despite my being unprepared. Ana was also very helpful with billing and ordering my contact lenses. Overall, a fantastic experience. I've been to many optometrists over the years, and there is typically always some aspect of care compromised (either the medical expertise, administrative helpfulness/service, etc), but not at MyEyeDr. I look forward to continuing my eye care here for years to come!
Excellent service overall. The staff was very helpful--especially Ana, who was friendly and gave great guidance in helping me select my new glasses. I also strongly recommend Dr. Scott, who communicates clearly and is very thorough during appointments, which gives me confidence that everything is well taken care of.
I cannot recommend this place enough! I was helped by the Dr Scott who was very professional and Ana did an amazing job helping me pick out my yearly contacts! Everyone was sweet. Will definitely be back!
The doctor was great, the optician not so much. I told her I wanted to get some new glasses and she said "ok" and didn't help. I think she was annoyed I didn't buy an annual supply of contacts on the spot (needed to see if they were cheaper online!). Came back a few weeks later to pick up my contacts and they didn't have a bag for me to carry the huge box home in. Idk anywhere else you can spend $700 and not be provided a carrying bag. Overall just felt like they were annoyed with my presence in this office.
Dr. Scott has been wonderful, and the team is kind in person, but I've had about a month of difficulty receiving my contact order. Through multiple calls to the office, I've received conflicting and sometimes inaccurate updates, which made it hard to know what was actually happening. It also left me wearing an incorrect prescription for about two weeks, which hasn't been ideal. It seems the staff doesn't always have a clear understanding of the ordering and delivery process, and I wish information were only shared once it's confirmed to be accurate.
PLEASE DONT EVER GO HERE. Anna and ROSE so rude. I took a prescription in, a month later, NO CALL. So I walk in, my glasses still not there. They don't know where my glasses at. I said I was calling the police due to fraud and ANNA was yelling at me and cursed me out about it. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. They is literally fraud. I asked why no one called me and they said they can't answer that question......defiantly give me races. This don't make no sense how this place treat people.
Update: I spoke with manager. Advised I want a refund. Now I have to wait to get my money back on top of waiting a month for glasses I never got. Advised I will be obtaining a lawyer, this was very much discrimination. Ask the manager Louis to not put my address on file because I do not want his staff knowing where I live.
My go to place for eye appointments. Dr. Scott is excellent, thorough, and takes his time to provide the best prescription for you, and Ana is so friendly and personable! Will be back
