I went in for an appointment and not only did they see me, but they had time to see the friend I was with as a walk in (which they don't normally do) as well! My eye tests only took a couple of minutes and the woman that helped me pick out my glasses was wonderful!! The selection wasn't huge, but I walked out happy anyway! My friend walked out with his contacts as well- and they were way cheaper than the place he usually gets them. I just received a call from them letting me know my glasses are in- it hasn't even been a week! Their short hours are kind of a bummer... I won't be able to pick my glasses up for a couple of days. - let's just say Eric and Maribel took great care of me ! Especially Eric ! Omg I love him : he made sure I left completely satisfied. Gave me all his attention made sure I tried on every pair , made sure to give me constructive criticism. His honest opinion. Just amazing . Would definitely stick to going to north shore just because of him honestly! He was great ! Thanks Eric !

I brought in a pair of vintage Chanel sunglasses because they had prescription tinted lenses in them, and I don't wear prescription lenses so I needed the lenses replaced. Despite the lenses being a tricky shape (rectangular) and me being a little nervous because the sunglasses were expensive and irreplaceable (since they're 30 years old), the lens replacement they did was impeccable. The sunglasses frame even came back in better condition than when I dropped them off, as the technician removed or cleaned off two tiny scuffs that I thought were permanent; so I couldn't be happier with the work they did. The price for the work was also very reasonable. There was a slight delay of a couple days due to a miscommunication with the location where the technician actually does the work - this is a retail satellite branch only and any work done on frames is done at a separate location - but when I asked for an update they got back to me immediately, and the work was completed and the sunglasses were ready to be picked up the following day. The person who I dealt with at this location was really friendly, too.

PLEASE, PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE NOT HERE!!! I DON'T WRITE REVIEWS, BUT AFTER WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED AND WENT THROUGH. I DON'T WANT ANYONE ELSE TO GO THROUGH WHAT I HAVE GONE THROUGH WITH THIS PLACE!! I would give this place zero but I was unable to. I came in May 2021 to get eye exam. I was informed by management it would take 6 weeks due to covid. I said ok, no problem. They said they would call me. I called them in July, I was informed they weren't back yet. I called again in Aug. i was informed not back yet. I spoke to the women who runs the place and said it's been since the first week of May. You told me 6 weeks. I kept calling back, In September I was told by the same lady that my glasses were in and at another store and had been. I asked why no one bothered checking. Her reply, don't know. I replied, it would be nice for a discount. She replied no. There was no apology for their mistake. I go pick up my glasses and they were done wrong. i paid for them bc I needed my glasses. I have been wearing my old ones of 8 yrs and still wearing them due to their mistake. There was no apology from the manager. Today, I went and had another eye exam nothing of what this place did and found out I need a whole other prescription and how did this Dr come up with what I brought to them. Not only did it cost me $500 but I had a full exam on my eyes. THIS PLACE ISNT DOING THERE JOB! Charging people for something they don't need. There extremely rude, dishonest. Go somewhere where a company will work with you. I went to a wonderful place and it was the best service I've ever had. They will work with you on payments. I almost cried due to the experience I had from this place to where I went today! PLEASE THINK THINK TWICE BEFORE COMING HERE!!!

Great service from optician, but bad communication as far as, calling to let the customer know updates on your glasses. I called several times and no answer. Went in after 1 month, was told that my glasses were not there after receptionist checked everywhere, I noticed a pair by the computer and asked her to check to see if it was mine. And yes it was, thank got that I am extremely observant....SMH

Dr David Dewaard does a great job explaining everything during the eye exam. Fantastic man. Convinient location right off the red line is very helpful. North Shore Optical accepts Medicaid and Medicare.

The Customer Service is Horrible , They told me last year I was suppose to pay for my glasses because insurance didn't cover so that the following year which is this year they would be covered. I paid for the glass and I come in today and they tell me that I have to pay so basically they stole my money last year.. Don't recommend going here!

Tryed to make a appointment over the phone! Called 15 times! I was also trying to see if the accepted my insurance before making the trip! Do you think I got an answer!?? Sadly NO! Smh I can see this place is already bad at customer service!!!
