Do NOT book your exams here! Prior to this appointment, I was going to a smaller private practice. In all the years I have worn glasses I have always had single vision prescription. At my appointment ,Pearl Vision Pulaski, the Dr told me I should have been using bifocals only and not single vision. My prescription had a minor change so I felt confident I did not need bifocals (as my current prescription felt fine). I went ahead and ordered single vision lenses. I went to a different location to get an eye exam, I let the Dr tell me first what my prescription would be. I was told single vision. When I asked the Dr about having been told last time that I should use bifocals, the Dr went ahead and further analyzed my eyes doing a few pointer tests and observing eye behavior. The Dr stated that I shouldn't be using bifocals and that single vision was appropriate for me.
While I understand you can have single vision bifocals, I did not like that the Dr I saw at pearl vision made it seem like I had no other option and was almost discrediting my prior Dr. This sounded like the classic act of trying to upsell a feature that was not needed.

Took my son to a re-evaluation of his prescription today 11/22/2025 at this Pulaski location by 51st street. Was seen by Doc. Anderson and we did not have the most ethical experience at all. I asked Doctor Anderson what my sons prescription was in July of this year, and he followed with a hesitation to tell me and saying " what does it matter what his prescription was then, you wouldn't understand the numbers " he continued to express that none of that would make sense to me.
I have worn glasses since I was 7 years old and have had my share of experiences with prescription and what it means. I am no doctor and I understand it, but I HAVE NEVER had this type of response given over a simple question that should be conversed about.
Doctor Anderson lacked integrity and ethics in dealing with a patient and the patients parents questions. Walked out pretty upset with the interaction that I had with this Doctor was VERY DISREGARDING AND OFFENSIVE.

I came in on Saturday to order contacts and I had such a pleasant experience with one of the people that helped me complete my transaction. She was just generally so kind and attentive. At the end of my interaction I had to point it out and she was so humble. She told me she tries to always be kind and patient with all because you never know what others are going through. She just has an overall positive approach to her work and I hope that is recognized by her employer.
