Perez Eye Care

I went to Perez eye Care at 2252 West cermak everyone was extremely nice and professional the eye doctor was so caring and gentle the office was clean and they also gave me what I needed within my price range I would definitely be a customer for life

Dr. Perez takes great care of my eyes and those of my partner, she has explained and diagnosed potential issues that our previous (very high-profile!) eye doctor failed to do/find. She referred us to a specialist and even went out of her way to schedule the appointment for us. She is very skilled, patient, kind and explains things in layman's terms. We are really lucky to be a part of her practice. Front desk team is efficient and effective. Don't hesitate to trust these folks with your precious sight.

I have been going to this same optometrist for the past three years, the location is convenient and my past experiences have been wonderful. The doctor is very good. however today I was let down by the sales representative after my eye exam, I didn't want to pay full price for the contact lenses but needed to use my $300 insurance allowance before year-end, so I said I will take my prescription to buy my contact lenses at CVS. The sales representative told me they can't release my prescription until my insurance company bills for it, which will take a month and by then my allowance would have expired or alternatively I need to pay my exam fee upfront to get my prescription released and figure out a way to bill my insurance company myself. I really have never heard of such rules of all my years of doing eye exams, usually the prescription is mailed to me immediately after my exam, and I'm sure this is against the FTC rule to withhold customers eye exam prescription. I will not return to this optometrist.

Dr. made a mistake on my prescription, which caused a delay because I had to wait an additional almost 2 weeks to get my new glasses (3 weeks total). Only reason I picked Perez Eye Care was because they were able to get me in same day and I was hoping to get my glasses sooner than later. Ended up waiting weeks for new glasses anyway. Also, my new frames are too small, and pinch my nose. Most places have a person that helps you shop for frames and then fits you. No service like that here. Their only recourse was to use a warming tool/machine to mold and stretch the frames a little wider for my nose. Didn't work. And now they pinch my nose and pinch behind my ears. Not happy at all with the end product, especially since I will need to wait 2 more years for new frames, since my insurance only cover the frames every 2 years. Ugh. Needless to say, I'll be finding a new optometrist for my next exam.

I love Perez Eye Care it is just Awesome! About a year ago I switched to Ortho-k (Lenses), since then I haven't had to wear my glasses and I can do whatever I want. Plus, I've been going there my whole life, and the staff feels like my 2nd family!! :)

The front-desk staff at Washington branch really terrible. I choose Cermak location for my first appointment because it was closer to where I live, and the appointment were confirmed. However, the day before the actual appointment, they called me and said the appointment is at downtown! No apology from them. I choose Cermak because I do not want to take public transport to downtown during this pandemic. Next disappointment, during the 1st visit - they told me they are going to order my contact lens and delivery would be around 3 weeks because of this pandemic. So, I've waited 3 weeks and called them to follow-up. Another disappointment, the staff said they didn't place the order yet! I waited for more than 1 month just to get my contact lens! No apology, again! The staff at Washington branch really need to improve their customer service. Looks like they are always in the rush handling your inquiry via phone or in-person. It made me feel like I'm wasting their time when asking them anything! It's not supposed to be that way. This is really sad, I really like the doctor.

Dr. Perez was so friendly and kind, and she took the time to explain everything (and asked if I wanted a detailed explanation/respected my time.) I've already recommended her to friends.

Probably wouldn't recommend. Front desk staff not very helpful. As a new patient, the doctor changed my prescription even though I said I was content with my previous lenses. Will be looking for a new optometrist
