In two different sessions, Dr. Perros replaced my cataract-opaqued lenses with plastic ones. In the second procedure, I had a paradoxical reaction to the standard midazolam dose. In no way was this the fault of Dr. Perros: paradoxical reactions are unpredictable. Dr. Perros and I discussed what was playing on the radio. Then I asked him to tell me exactly what he was doing. I learned more about lens replacement surgery than I ever wanted to know. Throughout this procedure, Dr. Perros remained calm and cool, and he did a perfect job. His post-op care was excellent also. If I had a third eye with a cataract-opaqued lens, I'd have Dr. Perros replace the lens with no qualms whatsoever.

Thru my HMO I saw Dr Perros for an exam I've not had for 3 years. Entered his darken room while he was screen reading. There was no greeting nor an attempt to be civil. The exam was quickly completed in <4 minutes ( At 82 I've had many other exams to compare to) and he proclaimed I have Dry Eyes! That's it! No comment about my glaucoma or cataracts! He had the huzzah to charge $195!!! I should be reported to the professional society which represents him. And to St Francis Hospital (Presence Medical Center)

Doc Perros did cornea transplants to both of my eyes. I am only in my early 30s. I am so grateful to him. He is such a professional, Caring doctor. He has the experience, the knowledge and gives people the importance they deserve. His staff are really great too, I trusted my eyes and my life to Doc Perros.
