Rosin Eyecare - Chicago Andersonville

The Andersonville office makes getting glasses FUN. My exam was quick and easy, and afterwards I got to spend some time with Dylan and Julia assisting me with choosing new frames. I had a ton of fun playing dress up and basically having a private, personal fashion show to select my glasses. It was genuinely the best experience I have ever had shopping for frames. As someone who gets easily paralyzed by too many choices, it was so helpful to have recommendations and feedback on what fit my face and I am very confident with the frames we chose together. They accounted for my preferences in color, style, and even the effect my new frames would give when playing Dungeons and Dragons. I also felt incredibly comfortable with everyone I interacted during my visit, as everyone was friendly and personable. I will definitely be returning to this location for future eye health needs, and highly recommend to others as well!

My experience was fantastic. The salesperson (name started with a J I think). Sales and doctor were very helpful and took the time to assist me with my purchase. I will definitely be returning in a year or so.

I loved this boutique like office. Very beautiful and they keep the door locked. I like that. You just can't walk in. Doc B is so down to earth and very pleasant to work with. Very warm sense of humor. And the receptionists and assistants were so warm and friendly that felt I could be myself. I have public assistance and not one time did these women treat me like they really didn't want to be bothered with me because my funds were limited. They treated me with nothing but respect. So I told Dr. B that if she'll have me I'll be with her forever.. So happy I found a home for my eyes!!!!! Their eye wear is very affordable as well and also they have such a great variety of eye glasses for public assistance as well. It's the best spread I've seen since having to wear glasses. I thought maybe she had the wrong set. I'm truly happy with the service and the warmth I feel when I enter this office, a cute lil boutique!!!!! Absolutely the weirdest eye doctor experience I have ever had. I went in for an annual exam to get my year supply of contacts. I went through the eye exam, was given a sample pair of contacts in my resulting prescription, and ordered my yearly supply. I wore the sample set around for two days and found that I was having a lot of vision trouble. I was having trouble reading road signs while driving, and I was struggling to see the menu options on my tv while sitting in my living room. Suspicious, I compared them to my old contacts and found the prescription was a step down from where I'd been previously. That's on me, I figured, I should have checked before I went in. I called the eye doctor and asked if I could pause my contacts and order a supply with my old prescription instead since I was having problems. They told me they wanted me to come in for another exam, so I had to clear my schedule and come in a second time. When I arrived, the eye doctor told me he didn't want to change my prescription because I could "see fine". I told him that was not the case, I was having vision problems with the sample pair, and was getting headaches as a result. We reran the entire eye test, and this time I was more vocal about when I could see clearly. He said that, based on this second exam, my prescription was suddenly a -3.0 instead of a -2.5. I said "well, if that's what it takes for me to see, I guess my eyes got a bit worse." Seeing as how my last eye exam had been over two years ago, I wasn't surprised by this. The eye doctor rolled his eyes and said "people always want more power than they need. You don't need this much power. I'm not putting you at a -3.0." I'm not usually the type to stand up for myself, but this is my day to day vision we're talking about, so I said "I would like to see well, so I would appreciate it if you did bump it up." He said he was only willing to give me a -2.75 prescription..... I have been wearing these contacts for the last month or so, and struggling with vision problems on a regular basis. I can't drive at night with these contacts because I struggle to read road signs, and highway driving is especially hard. My vision is also bad at my desk at work. I have never before had an eye doctor argue with me about my own ability to see, and I've never had contacts that make my life harder like this. I could not recommend this eye doctor less. And the worst part is, my insurance only covers one exam and one order of contacts a year, so I'm stuck with these until 2026. I never used to wear my glasses, and now I wear them every day. Weird experience, with horrible vision results.

The girls at the front are very kind. But I had an initial exam for contacts in March of this year. Now it's August and I still haven't gotten my contacts - plus they "reserved" my insurance money for it so I wasn't able to use it for glasses. They said they would "pass my request along to the optometrist" and I guess the optometrist didn't receive the message .... Disappointed because the location is very convenient, unless they switch it up and have you go downtown to the Michigan Ave location ...

I'm so glad that I chose Rosin Eyecare. The doctors were friendly yet professional and everyone who works there seems genuinely happy to be doing their job. The selection of frames is awe inspiring! I found frames for every aspect of my life from every day wear to professional chic to rock n roll diva. For the first time I was offered the option to wear contacts! They found a prescription that works for me and taught me how to put them in and take them out. Then they patiently sat with me as I practiced doing that, offering encouragement and helpful advice. I've definitely found my new eye care spot.
