Customer service has definitely gone downhill. I've been a patient for about seven years, but over the last two years I've consistently dealt with rude attitudes and a lack of professionalism. Phone calls are often answered rudely, and staff frequently ignore patients who are standing right in front of them. While the doctors themselves are excellent, the unprofessional behavior of the front-office staff is causing the practice to lose patients. If the staff is unhappy in their roles, they should consider finding another job rather than taking it out on patients.
The staff offers exceptional customer service. Everything is explained in easy to understand language. All your questions are answered. The optometrist was thorough. I never felt rushed.
I am deeply disappointed by my experience with Kate, the assistant manager at Rosin Eye Care on Michigan Avenue and a few staff members. Over the course of multiple phone calls regarding the status of my Rayban Meta glasses and obtaining insurance for them, I encountered a consistent lack of clear communication, professionalism, and courtesy.
Each inquiry was met with noticeable frustration and dismissiveness, rather than the patience and clarity one would expect from someone in a leadership role within a healthcare setting. As a patient simply seeking updates on an order, I should not have felt as though my questions were an inconvenience. The tone and manner of communication came across as unnecessarily curt and, frankly, a microaggression that made the interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional.
Customer service, especially in a medical and optical environment, requires empathy, respect, and clear communication. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of those standards. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional training to ensure all patients are treated with professionalism, respect, and care, regardless of how routine their inquiry may be. - DR. Front desk individual is extremely unprofessional. I'm not looking for "gotcha" coaching moments from my eye dr front desk. Yes, I didn't do the intake form (I've been a pt for 7 years). No I didn't answer your calls during the day to confirm insurance because I work and have meetings. The mention that I was late 5m after arriving to jab that I won't be seen until much later (made it apparent she wasn't sure when) and act like you're teaching me a lesson is hilarious. Again pt for 7 years gone. Cheers.
Edit. After seeing other recent reviews. All makes sense now.
The worst customer service I have ever had. I was late for like 3 minutes. They gaslighted me saying they can't find my insurance info & asked me to fill up the intake form and again gaslighting me saying I took too long for the intake & it's alr late so I can't see the doc now and need to reschedule me for another day. What the heck? I purposely made this trip for nothing. The two frontdesk staff members should be fired. They are nonchalant & rude from the get go & they don't seem to care working there at all. If you like getting gaslighted & humiliated you should definitely come here.
While traveling, I had an unexpected issue that needed urgent attention. I chose Rosin because they were open early and conveniently located near my hotel. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly, listened carefully to my situation, and acted quickly to provide the care I needed. Their professionalism and kindness helped me get back on track and continue my trip without further stress. I'm truly grateful for their prompt service and genuine concern, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rosin to anyone in need of fast, reliable help. Thank you!
Terrible customer service - called to reorder my contacts and they sent me the wrong brand and prescription. I dropped the boxes off to be exchanged for the correct contacts, was told I'd be called once the order was placed and never heard back..
When I called to follow up, the staff was very rude and said I'd have to wait another week for the order to be put in due to an internal process (no sense of urgency in correcting their mistake) .. all the while, I don't have contacts - after having putting the order in three weeks ago.
Had I known that this was going to be so inconvenient, I would've just bought from an online retailer like Contact Lens King. I thought my optometrist's office would be the most convenient option.
I've been a Rosin customer since 1996 and may now consider going elsewhere - or at least to another location that is more organized and helpful.
I went to this location it was recommended by someone I know. I paid $500. Just for the lens. Paid for no scratch and full package on my lens. Waiting for over a month. I had to keep calling for updates. I just made one week having them. And sure I got a scratch already I on them. Can't believe after all that. I call and they tell me I need to bring them back. One I can not see without my glasses my lens has a lot of special needs. Suffer from migraine headaches and due to a tumor in my brain I get many severe headaches. I'm so upset. I had to pay out of pocket my insurance doesn't cover them. I'm on SSI and Medicare. I wish I can get help from someone.
