Called to confirm appointment asked if my insurance was taken they said yes. When I finally show up to my appointment they say they don't cover anything with my insurance. Then why ask about my insurance over the phone and confirm you take it then? Not very professional. Waste of time. Not going there again.

Went into my appointment me and my daughter had to day didn't take me because I didn't have my insurance or I.d card. Only found out about my appointment because I called to see when it was and the person that answered me didn't mention to bring my insurance and I.d card she just said I'll confirm and hung up. I work at a clinic so I know insurance and I.d are asked when it's a new patient coming in or insurances has changed. So I do know my information is saved no matter how long I have not gone. Asked to speak to a manger and they lady there told me it was going to be 25 mins wait to speak to her, asked to speak to the dr same lady told me the dr has no authority there. I seen the dr just sitting in his desk. It was so unprofessional I would not treat my patients like this at my clinic. I was so upset because I drove and hr away and waiting for months to be seen

Today 4/16/25 I went to take my daughter to get new Contacts. When I arrived I was told that they don't take Walk Ins when their website clearly says they do. I was there a couple of weeks ago and they took me as a walk in I didn't have an appointment. I made sure I was there at the time they open so that I can be seen but to my surprise they said they don't take Walk Ins. I asked to speak to Manager but she was no help she just told me the same thing that they don't take walk walk ins to top it off they had appointments available only with in a month. I asked to speak to someone else and upper manager and I was told I needed to speak to the manger on 26th street location which I did and she was no help at all as well I was told the same thing no walk ins. I been going to this location for years and had never had this type of issue until now. I felt like they were just not doing anything to help me their first appt was at 9:30 which is the time I got there and no other person was there which to me it seems like their appt didn't show up and they will still will not take my daughter really bad service. I guess I learn my lesson not to visit this location no more.

I've been coming here for years but as of later my the customer service has been terrible! I went for an appointment last week and one of the younger girls was having the most attitude. She kept giving my mom dirty looks and laughing at us. And not to mention when I called to make the appointment I was on hold for almost an hour. But this place is never busy ? Everything I go theirs 3-5 girls working just talking or on their phones. Definitely do not recommend.

I went to get my daughter's glasses exam at the Brighton park location 3213 W 47th Place Chicago, IL 60632 since February 29, 2024. My daughter had a prescription to order glasses, so we ordered them and she picked her frame to her liking. I had to cancel my daughters appointment just today 04/08/24 because this location had me going back and forth calling and walking in to ask if my daughters glasses were ready. They said they would be ready 04/06/24, even after weeks had passed yet it's the 8th, and just to walk in again to tell me they are not ready still. Initially, they said the glasses would be ready within 2-3weeks. It's been more than a month now and they still don't make it right. It is not my problem that who ever took the glasses measurements, didn't do it correctly. This is very inconvenient and inconsiderate. I had to take days off work to come in to pick up my daughters glasses, which they said would be ready, and just for them to tell me the same thing again. I've wasted my time completely and will definitely not come back to this location. This is the worst location I've encountered. I should have went elsewhere! This needs to be addressed to management and take accountability for this inconvenience due to lack of communication. Do not waste your time coming to this location.

1st time here, I brought my 5 yr old for a eye exam. The nurse was very patient with her, she was a little scare of the new machines and the nurse explain to her the whole process. When we got to see the doctor he was super nice, super friendly with my daughter. He made sure to show her the tools he works with and made it such a breeze for her. Very happy with the service. I will definitely be returning here.

This is the third time I've been to this Tropical Optical Location and the service is excellent. Timely intake, nice courteous help in picking eyeglasses, and detailed information on pricing and insurance coverage eligibility. They never disappoint which is why I keep going back even though it's way further west from my home. It takes me 40 minutes to get there but definitely worth it because the service is great. I simply ask them to deliver my eyeglasses to my neighborhood location and it's so convenient. Highly recommend this location.

Appointment was quick and easy! Was in and out of there in 10~15 minutes. Unsure about the other reviews on here, but the employees were very respectful and patient with me.
