Village Eyecare - Wicker Park

I had such a lovely time at the Wicker Park Village Eyecare location! Michel helped me pick out a set of frames and gave me recommendations based on my budget and design preferences. Everything from scheduling an appointment to purchase was a smooth experience. Definitely will be coming back here for all my eye care needs!

This was my first time at Village Eyecare, and I had been seeing the same eye doctor at another practice for around 10 years prior, so they had big shoes to fill and they certainly did! Dr Casper was incredibly kind and caring! She was thorough and personable throughout the exam, and answered all of my questions. I will definitely book with her again! The others that helped with my check in and browsing of frames were also so helpful and made great recommendations. Frames and lenses here were a bit more expensive than my last eye doctor's office, but their staff can help you navigate the selection based on your budget.

I had a great experience at Village Eyecare. They were friendly, prompt, and easy to work with. Their selection of glasses is very good, with some really great looking frames. The hardest part was picking out just one pair! Everyone their treated me like I was a very important patient and gave me good advice on my frame selection. I would definitely recommend them!

I've been a loyal customer at Village Eye Care for several years. The Team is always very welcoming, knowledgeable and pleasant. Michele Uribe assisted me with selecting my new frames. Not only did I purchase one pair, but I bought two. One is for long distance and the other is for work. Michele is Amazing at what she does! Also, my frames were delivered sooner than I anticipated. This location was incredibly accommodating. I was able to get in and out while running late with ease. Michelle Selected glasses that made sense for my prescription as well as for my face structure and advanced before I came out. They are very effective to make In every day look an easy decision for purchasing. I was able to have two sets of glasses, picked out and organized with billing and payment within 10 minutes Being comfortable and confident with how I would look in them. Picking out glasses is super hard, especially when you wear them every single day. Their method of having things laid out in advance in order to streamline decision-making is incredibly smart an effective.

I had a very pleasant experience at Village Eyecare. Since I live in the neighborhood, I pass by the office often, so when it was time for an eye exam, they were the first place that came to mind. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the exam itself was a very quick and easy. I had a very positive experience! Being new to glasses, I was a little nervous, but they walked me through everything and made me feel totally comfortable.

I'm extremely unhappy after being a customer of this place for more than 10 years. I will never go again. I feel like they engage in a bait and switch telling me they would accept my insurance benefit but then essentially not giving me anything from my insurance benefit. And trying to use my old frames that were very expensive but have them put new lenses in matching my new prescription. They said no. We won't give you any of your insurance benefit for that and and refuse to give me the discount until I threaten to walk out. Wow! This was almost like dealing with a used car dealership or something. Very scammy. I got a very scammy feeling. So yeah I know I'm very unhappy with this place unfortunately. I went there at the end of the year to get my insurance benefit used up before I lose it and they told me they would accept my insurance. But ultimately I got no insurance benefit from them. And they claim they couldn't use my insurance providers lenses which would have been free or heavily discounted for quality reasons. I wonder if those quality reasons if anything to do with their profit margin?

There's a good selection of frames. I was able to find a pair after searching at 3 different other stores. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to wearing my new pair!
