It's been 2.5 months since the surgery and my vision is better than 20/20!! Don't worry and give it some time to heal... it probably took 6-8 weeks to get back to 20/20. I was between 4-5 stars but it's pretty clear now they offer an incredible value. If you're like me and do not need a lot of hand holding this is the place for you. Their track record and results speak for themself. I will say the waiting time on the day of surgery could have been reduced, and not being able to do the follow up next day downtown when I was told previously I could, was slightly frustrating. All in all a great experience though!
You can go elsewhere and have better access to the surgeon and probably a more seamless day of surgery, but is that worth over 2 grand?
For those on the fence I should add that I do have some lingering night vision issues - glare, halos that I hope continue to improve over time. I had astigmatism and large pupils - both risk factors for this. There are glasses and drops available to help mitigate some of these effects I'll be trying out in the months to come.
I highly recommend Vision One and Dr. Brand & Co. I had Lasik performed in late December 2019 and I haven't looked back since! Everything from the initial consultation to the actual surgery to the follow-up visits have been nothing short of smooth, efficient, re-assuring, and exceptional! Big kudos to both Dr. Brands and the whole team. Their team has been so helpful and supportive since Day 1! Great job by Dr. Burger and his staff on the actual procedure; they mad me feel so comfortable and the actual visit (about 8 total minutes in the chair!) was painless and smooth. Dr. Burger even talked to me during the whole procedure re-assuring me I was doing a great job and the procedure was going well which really helped me! It's been almost 2 months since and I have not experienced one issue from the procedure at all! I used to have dry eyes with contacts and I haven't even experienced dry eyes since the procedure! I am so happy to be contact and glasses free, FINALLY! I truly believe in Vision One Lasik Center and the Lasik procedure performed through their office. Follow all the directions and I assure you as well, you will have a great experience with a perfect set of corrected eyes! Thank you so much to the whole Vision One staff, both Dr. Brands and Dr. Burger his team!
I got Lasik here over a year ago now and it's really exceeded my expectations. I went 20 years wearing glasses and now don't need them or notice that they're gone. I was weary with the promises the doctor made, but everything has lived up to expectations. I encourage anyone on the fence about this procedure to feel confident going through with it.
My experience with Vision One was absolutely amazing. I am still in awe that I can see so clearly.
I would like to start by saying I put lasik off for an entire year. I had some minor fears and was overall nervous but I graduated college this past May and decided to free myself from glasses and contacts since I'm going back to school.
I started by going to Dr. Jason Brand for my consultation. Before my prescription was pretty basic, I was -1.25 in my left eye and -1.50 in my right. My vision had worsened a bit a few years prior and driving especially at night became difficult. After meeting with him, he gave me the green light as a candidate for lasik and we scheduled my surgery day. I was given a prescription to pick up prior to surgery day so I could begin using them after.
The day of surgery, the wait was definitely long; I'd say about 4 hours. I was one of the last few people in my group but watching everyone go in and come out in a matter of minutes was comforting. They seemed okay and my tiny bit of nervousness went away.
Going into surgery, you lay down and they immediately numb your eyes and get to work. This numbing does not burn, it's just a few drops. Nothing big. Now, I was absolutely MIND BLOWN by how fast it went. After the first eye I was like, "is that it?" And went on to do the second eye. I will say during I kinda panicked for a split second when my vision went dark because you can't really feel what's going on, and you can't see it exactly either. When we can't see something of course it can be nerve wracking.
I won't lie, about 40 mins after there was significant discomfort. But I would highly recommend to take a few Tylenol and some melatonin to help you sleep that off. I woke up this morning and began my drops (which do NOT burn, so don't worry) and am absolutely amazed at how clearly I can see everything and it hasn't even been 24 hours.
I met with Dr William Brand today and he is an absolute delight. I now have 20/20 vision. I honestly can't believe it. I'm so thankful I went through with this procedure and HIGHLY recommended you going to them for your lasik. Not only are they so kind but the price is so affordable even for me as a college student.
Thank you so much Vision One and Drs. Jason Brand, William Brand, and Dr Burger who did the operation. You guys are truly amazing and I'm already enjoying my new vision!!!
Got Lasik here at the end of July 22'. My vision is pretty much 20/20. Great process, team, and very cost efficient. ~$1100/per eye but it may vary for you. However, they aren't price gouging customers and that's why I trust them.
I had the ideal surgery here. My vision was a -2.5 and now I have 20/15 vision and can even read a few letters on the 20/10 line! The surgery took less than 5 minutes, it was overall pain free even after the numbing drops wore off. The next day I woke up like nothing had happened and went for my follow up exam with perfect vision. I followed their post op instructions and had no problems, not even halos. I couldn't be happier (unless I had known the surgery was only in Lombard so I had to Uber to and from, but otherwise it was perfect)
I recently had LASIK eye surgery at the Lombard location. What a great experience! Half of these negative reviews that I have read make no sense to me. They all had good results but complain about the stupidest things. In my opinion, The staff was very friendly and talked you through the surgery. I definitely was very anxious pre surgery but during surgery Dr. Burger, and his staff talked me through it. Surgery was very short, about 10 minute long, and pain free! I followed exactly what the doc told me post surgery and woke up being able to see almost 20/20. I had a very high prescription and basically was blind as a bat without glasses or contacts. Such a great feeling to be able to see once I woke up in the morning. The next morning went for a follow up visit with Dr. Brand at their Arlington Heights location and everything looked good. A day and a half post op my eyes feel great and can see almost perfectly. A few more days and I should be able to see 20/20! If anyone is considering LASIK this is the place to go!! Thanks again for a great experience!!!
Great experience so far I had lasik 2 days ago.I can already see what I would call clear but Doctor Brand said wait till Wed then you will really see the difference! I'm very exited to use eye make up soon,do sports use headband etc.I was very nervous about it so try not to be.The Thera tears eye drops are the best for hydration to avoid dryness.I highly recommend getting the procedure it's 60 second per eye,I know because I counted. As nervous as I was I don't regret it,2 minutes is not so bad.
