The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and efficient. I don't throw those compliments around lightly.
The technician and the doctor were both really good at dealing with my ridiculous humor and incessant questions.
Their frame selection had a wide variety and since they accepted my insurance i was a happy camper as far as cost. I went with the pair in the pictures.
This place is an asset to the community and I'm glad to have found them.
I've been going to this eye clinic for years and never questioned their quality until 2024. I purchased new frames and lenses, and that's when everything went downhill. When I picked up my glasses, I couldn't see properly. When I tried to return them, I was told it was "too late," even though they later admitted the glasses were made incorrectly. There was zero compassion or accountability.
Hoping to fix the issue, I returned this year and paid out of pocket just to replace the lenses and have them corrected. Unfortunately, I've now had to return these glasses twice and I'm being told I need to return again.
The staff has been consistently rude and unprofessional, showing no concern for patient care. Their only focus seems to be collecting payment rather than resolving ongoing issues they created. After years of loyalty, this experience has been incredibly disappointing. I will not be returning and would not recommend this clinic to others.
"I took my 5-year-old son for an eye exam and was told he had -1.00 and -0.75. We were advised to purchase ortho lenses immediately and were also offered a $500 contract for monthly eye drops for Eye Drop prescription, ('iDrops'), still I have to pay every month for eye drops, which was not clearly explained.
Because he is very young, I sought a second opinion from a pediatric ophthalmologist. We were told his actual prescription is only -0.25 in both eyes, which is minimal and does not require treatment at this time.
The large difference in prescriptions and the pressure to sign a costly contract were concerning. I recommend that parents seek a second opinion before committing to expensive treatment plans."
Zero stars would be given if I could. Worst place ever. Staff are very rude management could care less. I really don't even think that the Doctors know what they are doing. They say you have 2020 vision and when your about to leave have you do a re exam with dialation and all of sudden you need glasses. Than after that you are told that "They Do not have anything for you" to choose from. Come to find out they do not take our plan. After all that. They just want you to pay $$$$ out of pocket. Unfortunately now we need to pay out of pocket for another exam because this place is a bit fishey. If you want to be taken advantage of and spoken to rudely and made to feel ashmed like you have done something wrong than thats the place for you. PS you will be fine going there with anything other than medicaid. Another family member was there the same time with a PPO and they were treated so different. Every patient should be treated the same!!!!!
They hoped me and my family get our new prescription in an orderly fashion. The establishment was very clean and well kept and the staff was kind and bilingual which was nice. Excellent service and place overall!
Very very poorly customer service very unprofessional and it's not the first time they treated me like that, but this time i am done with themThe staff should have their name tags on because you don't even know who you're talking to.Today I had the appointment for my daughter, and while I was waiting to be checked in, it took a long time. Since I entered, the staff was not friendly; they didn't greet me. I went in, and the lady who attended to me--I don't know her name because they don't have name tags or introduce themselves--was very slow. She asked for my insurance card, and I told her there had been changes. My appointment was @ 5:15 pm and @ 5:25 she said the dr couldn't see me She started the process and took my payment of $65 for the appointment. After taking my payment, she said that the doctor could no longer see us because she had already closed.I replied to you, but you already processed my payment, and I arrived on time. It's not my fault that you took 20 minutes to adjust my insurance.I ended up accepting that I was not attended to, which I found very absurd. I asked to speak with the doctor so she could understand the situation. They said the doctor cannot speak with patients after they had processed my payment. They told me they refunded me, but they charged me $65 twice again. I told them I was charged again, and they said no, but it appeared as a charge on my account. One of them, I don't know her name, said today I can't return your money, come back tomorrow to process it because we are closed now. I find it ridiculous that they didn't see me for my appointment and made me wait over 30 minutes because they didn't know how to process my refund. This is how businesses lose customers because they don't know how to treat people or do their job. I had two more appointments, but I will cancel them, and I do not recommend this place.
At the time I scheduled my appointment they did not ask me if I had diabetes and if you have that apparently they have to run extra testing. That extra testing costs 60 to 70 dollars. I show up to my appointment Get informed of this They can't do anything about the fee the manager is not in and well I'm kind of locked into the appointment because my glasses are currently damaged and I need replacements. So instead of letting me find a different place that charges less they don't inform me of the extra fees.
All in all the appointment went fine, but I did request a call back from the manager of the store to make a formal complaint and see if there was anything to be done. I never got that call back.
At the end of the appointment I'm supposed to fill out and sign some paperwork. I got told not to sign that paperwork that it didn't need to be signed right then. Then phone calls and emails that I didn't sign the paperwork that it needs to be signed. So I have to go back out of my way to the clinic to sign that paperwork.
When I show up to sign that paperwork, I asked if the manager's in, the manager is not in, get told that I should leave a voicemail with their inbox. Call the number, get sent to the call center, get told that she's not in and that I can't speak to her and get the runaround about leaving a voicemail for about 15 minutes before giving up assuming that I'm never going to get that call back.

What you are doing compared to other places is not the same. When I go into my primary care physician or my pulmonologist or whatever other doctor's office that I have to go to, there is always the upfront price. They know what I'm going there for this is what they expect. If additional charges have to be added I don't pay for that right then and there which allows me to budget. What you did, I got told my fee at my booking, I arrive at the appointment and check in, I get told that now I am paying 65ish dollars more Then what I was expecting and I can't have that billed. So in order to attend the appointment that I had been waiting two weeks for, I have to break my budget. When I go to other clinics they don't break my budget, any additional charges are billed later. They let me work the additional charges into later budgets.
It took you two plus weeks to get back to me after the original request to have a phone call to discuss this. Small wonder that I'm upset after all of the above and then you talk down to me while I'm on the phone with you. You make it out like I am being unreasonable for wanting to know what I'm going to pay before walking into a clinic. Then when I try to explain that you are not correct, you keep talking over me and then you try and give me a lecture. Small wonder that's weeks of being angry with your company and trying to get a hold of you when your workers do not know how to get a hold of you. You are the owner of the company, they should know how to get a hold of you and what your hours are so that you can be contacted in cases of emergency at the very least. So if they knew how to contact you, you would have gotten an email or a text message or something letting you know that I wanted to call back the following Monday because my appointment was on a Saturday and I am not unreasonable.
Because you yourself are incompetent, you left your workers out to dry and you let me stew in my anger over being blindsided by a bill that I could not afford not to pay. Small wonder that I'm angry and cursing at the point where you are belittling me with your tone and trying to talk over me when I am trying to make a point.
For the record, it wouldn't violate HIPAA to have people fill out their health histories ahead of time for an accurate quote or informing them that the price may change if you have underlying health conditions that require additional testing.
If you are uninsured and have underlying health conditions that may affect an eye test I highly recommend you avoid this place.
You come here when you want a doctor to examine your eye health... not just a quick prescription and some frames. The staff is all bi-lingual, and are so professional.
Doctor Nicole Van Cura, OD is a charming young fun doctor that makes the whole experience feel smooth and thorough.
She took the time to understand my lifestyle and work/life balance in order to make the best advice for my unique eyes.
I highly suggest Dr Nicole Van Cura OD for your eyes.
