Dr. Saad Ahmad is an excellent Retina Specialist doctor. He is patient, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit and never rushed the appointment. The staff was friendly and the office was well run. I truly felt cared for and would highly recommend Dr. Saad Ahmad to anyone looking for quality eye care.

Do yourself a favor and read this entire review. I strongly recommend avoiding this practice- our experience here was truly disturbing. My wife's appointment was January 12th at 8:45am. The front desk was extremely rude to my wife(I was told her name was Jacklyn). Phone service rep was rude as well(Janet), our appointment was at 8:45am, by 10:10am, Dr. Gradianu hadn't even entered our room. Employees kept saying they were stuck in traffic and running late to arrive- this was 90 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. A very unprofessional assistant wearing a black hoody in clinic and named Terry remarked " you can leave" when we stated this was an inconvenience. When we called in advance to ask about pricing, the call center was extremely rude. Then when we first arrived, the morning of our appointment, Jacklyn at the front desk gave us attitude for not knowing the doors were not unlocked yet when we tried to enter. She then tried to deny my wife care becuase her drivers license was expired and offered no proactive assistance to try and remedy the situation. She smugly said "you'll have to come back another time." We drove almost an hour there with our 18 month old and refused to take no for an answer so Another employee stepped in and said they would take us. Jacklyn then walked to the back and proceeded to scream at the top of her lungs and audibly cry about her interaction with us. It was extremely unprofessional and disturbing to be alienated in that way by an employee at a health care facility. A tech worked up my wife and she was the only person in that entire office with proper bedside manner/patient care skills- she was very pleasant. However again, our appointment was at 8:45am and by 10:10am the doctor was still nowhere in sight and seemed to have not even arrived at the clinic yet despite our appointment being 1.5 hours before that. The employee named Terry was very unprofessional by wearing a black hoody in a clinic? He then rudely said "you can go" when we complained. This entire office failed the patient from top to bottom and treated us as if we should apologize? I strongly recommend going anywhere else. The front desk staff and the call center gave us their word we will not be charged for any part of this visit so we will be keeping a close eye on that. We also reported this exact review to the optometrist who referred us to this office from Vision Works. We hope this helps them in their future referral decisions.

My first experience was a 2.5 hour wait for a consultation. When I shared my displeasure with Dr. Ahmad, his response was he is busy because he is so good at what he does. He said "would you rather have a burger at McDonalds or a steak at Ruth's Chris?" No apology. No acknowledgement of my concern. Just a wonderful analogy of how great he is. So be it. I don't need to see him often. Next, I was told that they would run my credit card, but the payment would be on hold until services were rendered. Not true. My card was charged and more than 3 weeks and multiple calls has still not gotten the charge reversed. The cherry on top came today when I showed up for my first appointment and they had me scheduled in a different office. So, if you want to wait hours for an appointment, have an arrogant doctor, have crappy billing procedures and have your appointment schedule screwed up, give them a call. UPDATE: I had to file a dispute with my credit card company as they have still not reversed the charges.

In the summer of 2024 I had cataract surgery. I developed swelling in the retina of both my eyes. According to my optometrist, Dr Palermo, this sometimes happens. I called the Kovach Eye institute in the morning and Anoop Nehra responded. He was very helpful. He calmed me down and set up an appointment with Dr. Grandeanu. Since then he has been working with me and helping me to not worry and answer my many questions. Anoop is a very caring individual and has a real empathy for his patients. He never gets impatient with my many calls and often calls me to see how my eyes are doing. When I come in for an appointment if he is in the office he will do my initial screening and go over it with me in detail. I would recommend this individual with the highest confidence since he truly is passionate about his work. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty. Sincerely, Al Iverson

Didn't have an issue with this clinic our first couple visits until our most recent one today. We had a scheduled appointment at 10:45, we arrived early checked in. The waiting room was full when we first walked in and over an hour near two passed and everyone was being called in expect us. People who arrived after us were called within 10 mins, but we sat and waited. We went to the front desk to ask what why we were being called in, they said they didn't see our chart up there so they assumed they had it in the back and were about to call us. Another 30 minutes passed and 2 more people were called. It wasn't until a young gentleman who noticed we had been waiting there for a while who finally noticed and came to ask if we were helped at all, and we told him no how we had been waiting here for over an hour. He went to go ask and make sure to figure out what was going on, and if it wasn't for him , we wouldn't have been helped. I'm not sure who the lady is, but she is a white woman named Jamie, assuming she is the manager, came in the room alongside with him in heat saying how we weren't the only ones waiting for a long time and they have many other patients, and we had only been waiting an hour so we needed to calm down. She was dismissive and rude. The young man who was helping us said he was going to expedite our visit because it wasn't fair we were waiting for so long. I noticed when he went up to tell her she began yelling at him and telling him she will decide how to handle things. She seems very unprofessional and made our visit ten times more uncomfortable than it already was. Mind you, we were one of the only hispanic patients in this office which was already uncomfortable enough. This behavior was unacceptable and disappointing. Our appointment was at 10:45 and we are walking out this office at 1:30.

Nothing but good experiences at this facility. Staff was great, nice clean facility, and they adhered pretty closely to the scheduled times. Additionally, I've been very happy with the results of the cataract surgery performed by Dr Mateen.

" NOT TRUSTWORTHY " This clinic is not trustworthy as both my insurance and I paid for the same retinal light therapy treatments. I asked the doctor if my eye glasses might be the problem, and was told no everything looks fine it was my eyes; however I decided to get a second opinion with another doctor who informed me that my glasses were actually too strong," causing me to see less", he prescribe new eye glasses, and now I'm seeing fine.

2 things I wasn't to happy with- firstly you cant put in a time frame. You have to wait for the text and just figure it out. Being a mother of three this made it extremely difficult to maneuver things around to give my mother a ride to the location being that it's over an hour away from me and shes elderly who cant drive. Second and this is why i ended up doing this review, my mother had both eyes done separately and the 1st appointment she made sure to let them know i live over an hour away to please call me her ride with enough time, they didnt when i got the call they said she was ready to be picked up in 10 mins. The good thing is i had already started to drive that way. I did make it in about 15 mins. The second time i was very specific and the lady at the counter even did a pop up note so when they opened my mothers chart that was the first thing that showed to pleas call me an hour before she was ready. I got the call and sure enough they said she was ready to be picked up in 5-10 mins. I was an hour away so that wasn't happening. I explained to them that they where to call me and that a pop up note was in place and instead of apologizing for not following directions they said " Im sorry You Live Far" i was just lost for words.
