Hinsdale Advanced Eye Care: Dr. Treacy Adamo

I had an unpleasant experience with this office due to poor communication and lack of follow-through. On December 1st, I contacted this location after being directly referred by Regener-Eyes, who provided me with this phone number. I spoke with a staff member named Liz, who told me she would call me back regarding the availability of Regener-Eyes drops. I did not receive a call back. During that initial conversation, I was clear and transparent that I was not looking to become a patient at that time and was only inquiring about purchasing the drops. At no point was it explained that becoming a patient was required in order to obtain them. I followed up the next day to speak with Liz after not receiving the promised callback and was told she was not available. When I asked the staff member I spoke with about the drops, they appeared unsure of what I was referring to. I then contacted Regener-Eyes directly and was told that this specific location would be receiving the product the very next day and that the office would be asked to reach out to me. I never received a call. After waiting nearly two weeks, I called again on December 15th. During this conversation, the tone felt rushed and dismissive. While I understand and respect office policies, only during this final call was it clearly explained to me that becoming a patient was required to obtain the drops. I was prepared to pay for the product and appreciate clear, upfront communication. Had the requirements been explained from the beginning and calls returned as promised, this easily could have turned into an ongoing patient relationship. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as clearer communication and follow-through would greatly improve the experience for future patients.

Treacy, Sharon, Iris, and the whole team at Hinsdale Advanced Eyecare are truly the best of the best! They are so kind, patient, and supportive. I've gotten multiple contacts and glasses from them over the years and always leave feeling my best! Leaving feeling confident in glasses is such an amazing experience, and I always appreciate the time they take to find the best things for you!

Pretty horrible. The staff was very rude. Went in to adjust my prescription they wrote because my glasses weren't working out. They charged me a consultation fee of $70 for checking the prescription on my glasses to the prescription they wrote. Didn't inform me there would be a charge until after the consultation. Went in to get my eyes checked because prescription wasn't working out and that's an additional charge of $65. I didn't make an appointment to get my glasses checked. I made an appointment to check my eyes with the prescription they wrote. Staff didn't care and didn't want to bother with me. Would not refund me for the consultation I didn't need. The staff was really rude even after they admitted they made the mistake. And they want me to come back for the eye appointment for an additional $65 to change the prescription they wrote incorrectly. Would not recommend. Staff was outrageously rude on the phone after talking with three ladies and manager. Would not recommend.

Was at work when I had a very small foreign object decide to lodge itself in my eye. Was sent to another eye doc who was trying to keep me in the waiting room for over 3 hours till the next opening! Called Hinsdale advanced and explained my situation and that it was an emergency. They told me to come in and they would see me right away. Arrived at the office and was seen by Dr. Adamo. She was able to get it right out, I couldn't have been more relieved. Thank you so much to Dr. Adamo and the whole staff at Hinsdale advanced. You all are truly amazing!!

We've been seeing Dr Adamo for our annual eye exams for 8 years now. I can not begin to express how many things we love about this practice but here are a few: -Dr Adamo and her staff are WONDERFUL with my children. We started going when my oldest was going into kindergarten and she put him right at ease. Now that he's 12, she's more than comfortable chatting with him about his sports and activities. -We have 3 family members who need eye exams. They are always very accommodating, scheduling our appointments back to back and getting us in and out quickly! -They are very responsive to questions. Dr Adamo even called me at 8:30 one night, because I was busy with meetings during the early evening. -The office staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Definitely highly recommend the practice!

Dr. Adamo and her staff are warm, welcoming and proactive about protecting patients' long term vision and eye health. The office also stocks a wide selection of stylish and durable frames at a range of price points.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this practice. While I trust Dr. Adamo and know she is very skilled, the cost of going to her with insurance was surprising. After paying a hefty fee during my visit, I later received unexpected invoices that arrived well after my appointment. Some of these charges were never explained up front, including a contact lens fitting fee -- even though I chose to keep my current lenses and declined trying new ones. I will not be returning and strongly recommend that anyone considering this practice request full cost transparency in advance to avoid surprise charges.

Fantastic experience ran on time , great front desk and clinic assistant Dr Treacy was caring and kind and very helpful We will be visiting again
