Prairie Eye and LASIK Center

I had an appt scheduled for 1/13/26 that's been scheduled for a year and was supposed to have my eyes dilated plus I've been having some other issues with my eyes in the meantime. I got there for my appointment and was told it had been cancelled and no reason was listed as to why. I had been referred to them from an optometrist bc of having some eye issues that need looking further looking into but I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

I was told to, and did arrive at 7:45A for an 8:15 A appointment. I was called back for the preliminary exam at 8:20A. I was the first patient of the day. All personnel were polite and professional. I live 1/2 hour away in another town.

Your staff in Jacksonville is outstanding! I am very sad to see Dr Hendricks leave. I hope that you can find someone very soon to replace him.

Today I had my vision examined at Prairie Eye and Lasik center in Jacksonville. Dr Albert gave me a professional examination and gave me good news about my vision however I do need cataract surgery.She scheduled me with the surgeon for consultation and explained what the future appointment would involve. I highly recommend this facility for your vision needs.

Friendly , cordial, and prompt. I would definately recommend Jacksonville . I would not recommend the Springfield store to anybody. They lie to you , they are rude atleast the ones in the eyeglass department. I would not let my worst enemy go in there. If they worked for me I would fire every last one of them !!!!!

This was a very pleasant visit and I would very much refer my friends. Both the doctor and technician was very thorough. Good job girls!

Sent me on my way knowing I couldn't see in my contacts. Called to let them know my eyes never adjusted and my right one was the worst. The receptionist was rude (every time) she wanted to know what I wanted to ask the tech, told her and she wanted to mumble her opinion last I check your not the Dr, pass the message along. Called to get another trail, was told it was ordered and it would be here in "1-2 days and they'd give me a call, but they didn't even call me for my first pair I had to call them after a month and a half. 3 weeks go by (called a couple of times to check since I was told it would only take 1-2 days was told they're ordered and will get a call!) call again told an office manager will call me the following day ... never happened. Call again, and I'm told she just NOW ordered the second pair of trials the previous day after I was told they were ordered 3 weeks ago. The receptionist with brown hair right by the door always says something under her breath or puts her two sense in. I'm not asking for her opinion or her passive aggressive tone I'm there to see the doctors. Now when these finally come in however long later I have to make another appointment (even tho I already put the contacts in in front of them and they said the placement was perfect), pay another copay, test them out. When this all could have been done forever ago. I don't see why I need to come in again and have a whole other appointment. You sent me on my way knowing I couldn't see in those contacts. Hand me my second grails and I'll have my 3 week follow up like I was supposed to with the first pair. That had to be canceled because I couldn't USE my contacts due to the right eye contact being blurry constantly. Causing migraines. If it takes this long to order contacts through them how can I reliably get them monthly?
