Wight Eye Care

I've been seeing Dr. Wight for many years and consistently receive excellent care. He provides a thorough and comprehensive eye exam that uses advanced technology to carefully monitor my eye health. He is both knowledgeable and genuinely kind. His support staff is professional, efficient, and always welcoming. Although the office is busy, they manage patients very well and I have never felt rushed. I highly recommend Dr. Wight.

Initially I was put off by the fact there was an extremely long wait for an appointment but it was absolutely worth the wait. The entire experience was efficient and thorough. Dr. Wight was knowledgeable, kind and relatable. He went above and beyond including finding oculoplastic surgeon in my network and his staff followed through with making the referral. I work in the medical field and this is exceptional work. Kudos to a well trained staff that follows through. Truly a treasure and I will be referring friends and family.

Dr. Wight was friendly and got my astigmatism script right--the first time. His office insists on ordering sample contacts and that you try them before ordering a full supply, unlike some other local optometrists that are opportunistic and push you to immediately order from them after your exam. I've been telling friends and family they've got to try Dr. Wight for their next exam. I'm seeing better this year than I have the past couple of years going elsewhere for my exams. I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Wight is the best! I have been a patient for at least 15 years. He is very knowledgeable, takes time to answer all my questions, and uses the newest technology so visits are smooth. His staff is amazing and are always so friendly. They know how to work with my insurances to get the best prices for me.

This was our first time here and our experience was amazing! The girls at the front desk were very nice and helped us and answered all our questions! Dr. Wright was polite and professional and my son really liked him. Thank you so much to the whole staff

This has been the best experience. The office staff is very friendly and well versed in handling insurance. The doctor performed a very thorough exam and was very kind. He was great with the kids. We will be repeat customers for sure. So happy with our experience.

If I could give 10 stars, I would for how well Dr. Wight treated my husband today. He was extremely patient, professional, and went ABOVE and BEYOND in giving him a thorough exam. I am so grateful for that and the time he took to educate my husband on the importance of examining the back of his eyes. Thank you. The staff was also thorough and professional. I will definitely recommend this practice to anyone in need of eye care.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Lynn and one other staff member were openly prejudice! I came in to schedule an appointment for glasses. It was freezing outside, and when I arrived, I urgently needed to use the restroom. I asked the woman at the front desk where it was, and she completely ignored me and went back to what she was doing. There were four women behind the desk chatting. When another woman finally became available, I asked her about the restroom. At that point, the first woman abruptly interrupted and very rudely said, "We don't allow people from the public to use our restroom." I then explained that I was there to get glasses, but after being denied access in such a disrespectful way, I decided to take my business elsewhere because I clearly understood what was happening in that office. This was not an isolated incident. On a previous visit with my grandmother while she was getting her glasses, an African American gentleman came in asking to use the restroom because there wasn't one available at UPS and it was urgent. They did not care and denied him as well. This happened during the holiday season, the week before Christmas, and it felt like we were being treated as if we were living in a time when people were segregated, even down to restrooms. The behavior comes across as staff who lack control in their own lives and take it out on customers by abusing what little power they have. To make matters worse, when I later called and asked to speak with the doctor in charge, Lynn demanded that I explain why before she would allow the call to go through. After I identified myself and explained, she hung up on me. She then refused to answer further calls. I left a voicemail for the doctor and hope he actually receives it, assuming it isn't deleted by the office. Denying someone access to a restroom and requiring them to prove they belong there is unacceptable and demeaning. I strongly recommend not going to this location.
