Ingrid and Ken were extremely helpful for me and my family. They both went over and beyond servicing our eye care needs. Being very patient and taking the time to ensure we were comfortable with our looks and exams. I prefer this location as an eye care provider as they have consistanly provided service with a smile and on New Years Eve it reallly says a lot about how they care about their customers.
Tracy was absolutely wonderful and so helpful, she wasn't pushy at all and really helped to find what worked best. It was my first time ever purchasing glasses and she was patient and kind, and helped me and my family out a lot. The store had a huge selection as well, which was nice
Came in the store for Meta Frame's and Chrissy was awesome !! told me I could use some of my vision insurance towards my transitional frames
5 Stars - Truly a Lifesaver!
I cannot thank Aaron enough for his outstanding help today. He usually only comes in on Fridays, but by some miracle, he happened to come in today--completely out of the blue--and it was a blessing! My mother's glasses had broken, and she was really struggling without them. Aaron not only fixed them perfectly, but he also did it with such kindness and professionalism. You could tell he genuinely cared. It was a special instance that meant the world to us. Thank you, Aaron, for going above and beyond--you're a true gem!
This was my first visit to this office, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease. Dominique was especially wonderful to work with she was helpful, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. She made the process smooth and stress-free. The entire team created a comfortable environment, and I left feeling confident about my eye care. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for excellent service and a caring staff.
My wife and I went in today, and the experience was excellent. The staff was efficient and right on time with our appointments. Ken provided amazing, attentive service--he made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the visit. We'll definitely be returning for our next pair of glasses!
This was, without exaggeration, the poorest service I've ever encountered at any LensCrafters location. Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of visiting this store twice. An experience I had no intention of repeating, yet was forced into due to their own mishandling. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is indifferent at best. No greeting, no acknowledgment. During my first visit, I stood there for over 35 minutes without a single employee offering assistance. For comparison, the River Forest location consistently delivers exceptional service that is warm and attentive. The only reason I stepped foot into Oak Brook was to view the MIU MIU selection not available in River Forest. In hindsight, the inconvenience was hardly worth it. Once the staff at Oak Brook finally decided I was worthy of their attention, they placed an order for my glasses and assured me they would be shipped to River Forest. Spoiler: they were not. My glasses sat at this location for days with zero communication, forcing me to return to an environment I had hoped to avoid. The attitude among the employees is uniformly pretentious, irritated, and uninterested. I'm genuinely curious how such consistently dismissive behavior is considered acceptable customer service. To add one more layer to this already unnecessary ordeal, they didn't even order my glasses correctly, meaning I now have to deal with this location yet again. Save yourself the hassle. Visit any other location. It seems as though they only value a certain demographic, if you understand what I'm saying.
Came in to replace a pair of frames under warranty. I'd already been to four other locations in 4 states as a I travel for business often. All of which told me the same: out of stock.
At this point, I wasn't even annoyed. I just wanted to ask if there was a better process or timeline, and maybe offer some constructive feedback while I was there.
I was helped by Dominique (african-american, female lead) and I explained the situation.
Her response: "Well, why would you do that?" No real tone, no empathy. Just that. Then, I replied, well I did not do it purposely.
After confirming my warranty was valid she said, "Lucky for you, you have a warranty." Not exactly the energy I was expecting.
Eventually, I tried sharing feedback with another associate (female, possibly white or Hispanic).
I pointed out that if you pay for a one-year warranty, but the item has remained out of stock for most of that year, the value of the plan is pretty questionable. She interupted multiple times. I calmly said I wasn't trying to argue, just giving input as a paying customer. That didn't land neither.
The store manager, Tracy, later called the nxt day and said she'd follow up with the team and it will not be dismissed. I appreciated that.
When I returned, she said she hadn't gotten the chance to see or speak with them yet. She talked about intent versus perception, focusing on intent rather than impact.
If a man says a woman is stunning in a professional setting, that is innapropriate regardless his intent. There's a time and place, and this was no different.
For what it's worth, I didn't yell or use derigatory language. I asked for help redeeming a warranty and tried ti give feedback as I continue to wait.
What I got was indifference, deflection, and a bit of passive-aggression sprinkled in for good measure.
It's not about the broken frames anymore. It's about how casually I was dismissed for simply expecting a process that matched the price point.
