West Suburban Vision Therapy

Our daughter was diagnosed with Brown's Syndrome at age 3, and at the time we were told there was nothing that could be done. By age 6, she was struggling with reading, focus, headaches, coordination, and occasional double vision. Although she passed routine eye exams and wore glasses, we knew something still wasn't right. After a full evaluation at West Suburban Vision Therapy, we finally understood how much her vision was affecting her daily life. She completed a full year of vision therapy, and the results have been truly amazing. She is now one of the top readers in her class, loves to read, enjoys school, has much stronger focus, no longer has headaches, and has even improved in sports like soccer. At one point teachers suggested possible ADHD or learning issues--when in reality, it was her vision all along. While there is no cure for Brown's Syndrome, it no longer affects her everyday life. She now understands her vision and knows how to correct it if she ever sees double. She exceeded all expectations. We are so grateful for Dr. Wong, the incredible staff, and especially our therapist, Michelle, who made every session fun and motivating. Our daughter looked forward to therapy and was truly sad when it ended. To other parents: be consistent with the home exercises--it truly makes all the difference. While it is an investment, it was worth every penny. We cannot thank West Suburban Vision Therapy enough for changing our daughter's life.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Wong and her team! I struggled with blurry vision amongst other things for over 3 years until it became debilitating. I only found relief when I found this practice. Dr. Wong is so incredibly thorough and describes each step and reasoning along the way. She is the only doctor I've ever had that makes me feel like she is 100% in my corner and will do whatever she can to make me feel better. Dr. Wong and her staff care very deeply about their patients and have the knowledge and skill to help you get better. I highly recommend this practice!!

West Suburban Vision Therapy is great! It starts with a great front office staff and office director. They are easy to communicate with and super responsive. Ms. Tammy has been amazing. She is very good at working with my son and getting him to do things when he doesn't want to do it. And Dr. Wong explains things better than any eye doctor that we have seen. We have seen a lot of progress with my son by working with them. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend West Suburban for vision therapy needs! My 10 yo has been receiving services from West Suburban for the past 8 months. Her current therapist is Ms. Kira and she's been wonderful with my daughter! She is patient, skillful and gives very detailed instructions so that homework therapy can be successful, too! All of the staff, including Dr. Wong and office staff, are delightful and approachable. It's evident that they all care about the health of their patients!

Dr Wong and her staff are absolutely amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. She was able to significantly improve my son's nystagmus when other doctors told me nothing could be done because he was only a few months old. She has been seeing him for 6 months now and I can't thank her enough. They are truly one of a kind.

My son just graduated vision therapy after starting in the winter of 2021 and we've had such a great experience at West Suburban Vision Therapy Center! We started when Dr. Maze was still at the practice, and have continued through with Dr. Wong. Both doctors and all the staff have been incredible with my son (and now my daughter has started therapy as well)! My son had several visual issues that were impacting his reading and comprehension. He has made so many gains in school and although reading is still not his favorite subject, we are no longer struggling to get him to read! His MAP scores have improved immensely and we owe all of his recent successes to vision therapy! Thank you to both doctors and all of the wonderful therapists! We highly, highly recommend this therapy practice!

Vision Therapy is really fun and I really feel it working when I read. My therapist Ms. Kira is really nice!! ~Tyler VT has been fantastic for my son! He's recently started playing baseball and is making huge improvements in a short time. He's better focused while reading and his headaches seem to be subsiding! We are really thankful to have found Dr. Wong and her team. My 9 year old has really appreciated how Dr Wong found the right mix of glasses and therapy to help her read and feel more confident at school. My daughter really likes her therapist, Ms Keira, because she says that Keira makes all the exercises more fun to do! We would highly recommend West Suburban Vision Therapy.
