I have been seeing Dr Kaplan for years due to having Type 1 diabetes. Yes, the wait can be long. However, the care he puts into making sure my eyes are okay is more important to me than the time spent waiting. Its a trade I would make every single day.

Dr. Kaplan seems knowledgeable and thorough. Unfortunately, he has a poor bedside manner and a lack of patience. He seems irritated with questions asked and he keeps sternly telling the patient that they are not staying still and keeps pushing their head and face. Yes, it is important to be in the correct position for an exam but he is definitely rough. He needs to reflect on his mannerism as he interacts with patients. Due to his mannerism, I will not continue as his patient.
