Bard Optical - Peoria Knoxville

I tried bard optical on Knoxville when I moved to Peoria last year. I had problems getting in touch with them as their portal is clunky and they never answer phones or return voicemails. Today, I had an appointment in the late afternoon and checked the portal the night before to make sure i had the right time. When I arrived at the time the portal said, they said I was 20 minutes late and the physician refused to see me. Spend your health care dollars somewhere they answer phones, have a functional easy to use patient portal and care enough about their patients to take care of them when they get there, not Bard optical.

Was there a bit ago to get glasses for me and my husband. Possibly the most incompetent, rude people I've ever met. They released my husbands protected HIPPA information to an unauthorized party and then got upset with me about it. I also find it interesting that after Diana Hall retired, her son, Mick who has taken over, has been previously in trouble with the law regarding his business practices and finances that aren't his. Pretty sketchy.

The lady who was standing at the front desk was unbelievably rude and needs to work on her customer service. I wish that whoever I spoke to on the phone before I came in knew what they were talking about as well and didn't say one thing over the phone and then I get told a completely different thing when I get there. It was a complete waste of my time and I will never be coming back to this bard optical. The way that lady spoke to me was uncalled for , disrespectful and rude. Reprimand your staff not me for what I was informed by your staff. Be nice to people you never know what someone is going through.

Unbelievably rude and pushy. It's like I had to fight them to walk out with something within my budget. They refused to listen and refused to take no for an answer. Easily some of the worst customer service I have ever had.

Knowledgeable and friendly, best place to go to have your vision corrected or maintained Dr Jensen and Sarah are caring and knowledgeable which made the experience better than anyone could ask for.

Dr. Jensen is a great optometrist! However, the front desk staff are terrible--unhelpful and very unfriendly. They don't seem sympathetic or caring in any way. I would not recommend this place.

I love this location, the staff is all super friendly, and Dr. Jensen is the GOAT. I won't go anywhere else.

id like to start out by saying that Dr. Jensen is kind, polite and professional as is her assistant who performed my sons exam today (unsure of her name) My unfavorable review is stemming from an interaction I had with whomever the front desk person is. We had picked up his glasses on 01.13.25, at that time I told them I had to have a special form filled out for his permit. They assured me they would place in his file so i didn't need to bring it back in a few weeks during his exam (today). Today before we went back for the exam, I asked if they had the form. It was no where to be located. This was frustrating for me due to this was the form provided by the drivers ed teacher that needed to be submitted to the state of IL in order for my son to receive his permit. They then showed me a form that they have at their office and said its "probably the same one". "probably the same one" was not satisfactory to me since we needed the specific form filled out. They eventually ended up locating the form that i had provided them with on 01.13.25. She then compared it to the paper they said was "probably the same one" and said it was in fact the exact same. Okay, great. The girl at the front desk who checked us in was entirely disrespectful and started laughing hysterically when they told me it was the same form. I'm honestly unsure what was so entertaining about a mother who was clearly concerned that she was assured they would hold on to the document and then they were unable to locate it. I did ask her what was funny about the situation and she couldn't answer me. I would be bewildered if someone in my department laughed at a distraught patient/their family. It was beyond rude, upsetting, and uncalled for. To the office manager who runs this location, please do your future customers a favor and have a discussion with this employee about her immature behavior and inform her if she is going to work with the public, she needs to grow up. She was an embarrassment to your business today. Clearly, we wont be back, which I know it's a loss of two people.. so who cares, but maybe someone reading up on this specific location will choose to go elsewhere based off of our experience.
