In a world of big corporate optical chains, this shop is something truly special. I've been coming here since I was a kid. The owner is a longtime family friend, and growing up this was always where we got our glasses. He doesn't just "order lenses" ..... he personally shapes and fits them to your prescription and frame right there in the shop. Watching him work is watching real craftsmanship. It's rare these days. The frame selection is incredible. Whether you love unique, quirky, vintage-inspired styles or prefer classic, timeless looks, he has a thoughtfully curated range that feels intentional .... not mass-produced. What truly sets him apart, though, is how he takes care of people. He offers an automatic one-year warranty because he understands that life happens ....... especially when you wear glasses yourself. And when you stop in for an adjustment? He's already paying attention. If your frames are slightly off-center, he fixes them. If your nose pieces are worn from everyday wear (or, let's be honest, an oily complexion), he's often replacing them during the adjustment before you even realize they needed it. That kind of attention to detail and care is hard to find. Peoria is lucky to still have a small business like this.

Absolutely amazing service. After several other visits to other opticians my frames remained terribly painful to wear to the point I had to go without them. After less than five minutes Ralph fixed all my frame issues, no more pain at all. I'll certainly be going back next time I need anything glasses related.

They are so great! Got my trifocals in three days instead of two weeks. Once, my glasses (from another optical) had broken and the place where I got them said they couldn't be fixed, Krey Optical fixed them! Mr. Krey fits glasses very well. I won't go anywhere else.

The search is finally over. I have tried many opticians in the area and am glad to have found the place I will definitely go back to. Ralph Krey is very nice and helpful and is a master of his craft with over 3 decades of experience. My girlfriend is also very happy with her glasses and we both appreciate that his prices are much better than what we have found at some of the stores inside optometrist's offices. Ralph was nice, efficient, and had great suggestions. Definitely the most frictionless experience I have had finding glasses, and I am very happy with them. The frames are well organized by shape.

I had an awesome experience at Krey Optical. After a bad experience at a box store, Ralph was able to salvage that pair with new lenses, and get me a new stye of frames and the turnaround time was hours not days.
