Do not be deceived by the number of good reviews. I've had 8 visits with this location, and every single one took over 2 hours from the scheduled appointment time for me to be seen. It's another health complex that cares for money more than your well-being. I was steps away from finally getting cataract surgery, and they refused to let me schedule until I paid an outstanding bill (of which I never heard of until the business day prior). I spoke with their billing manager, who informed me of the amount on Friday. We agreed to send out an itemized bill so I could call my insurance (which would not get mailed until the following business day - Monday). On Monday another billing rep called and said that they could no longer wait and needed a payment plan to be set up otherwise I would not be seen going forward. This is for care on an autoimmune disease, mind you, and they are threatening to discontinue my care (and weekly biologic injections) for this amount (which - for context - is not even above $1k). When I asked for leniency and assistance with the payment plan they proposed, the woman refused and said that they don't make exceptions, and I could fill out a hardship form on the website if I couldn't - which embarrassingly, I cannot. They want it paid IN FULL before scheduling. 6 months from now. I have weekly injections. I see Dr Zhou, and she's always apologized for the wait and has been nothing but kind. All medical staff are delightful. But the billing? Atrocious. After a long conversation the manager called me back and was suddenly able to make an exception, but this was days later and I already submitted for transfer of care. Which as a heads up, they force you to pay almost $1.50/per page when you request to have your medical records sent. I've had 8 visits with the first 3 being free and they said I'd have to pay $21 for my own medical records to be sent. I know this is not something new, but $21 is egregious considering that this is all due to financial struggles. This place is the worst. I feel so bad for the medical staff because they're all so knowledgeable and sweet. The Healthcare business is a nightmare and I'm so tired of it being treated as a priority - not a necessity. Do not recommend.

Dr Caskey is amazing! After being yanked around for 2 years, with incorrect diagnosis, he ordered an mri and found a brain tumor. He referred me to a great neuro surgeon. Dr Caskey is still my Dr and is wonderful. He does not rush through the appointment. He listens and takes the time with me. Highly recommend!

I am seeing Dr. McIntyre for my strabismus and while he's a pediatric surgeon he's so attentive and great at handling me with adult gloves, answering my questions before I ask them. He is so kind. This office is also very clean and high tech (no air puffs in the eyes). I've always been taken back by nurses in a timely manner for initial screening to be transferred to doc. I truly feel like everyone here has my best interests in mind.

I was referred to the Wheaton Eye Clinic and had my appointment today. I was greeted by an amazing staff. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Reddy is the consummate professional who did a thorough examination along with staff members and explained the results thoroughly and answered all my questions without feeling rushed. I appreciate and thank everyone there for the service provided.

I have always gone to the Wheaton Eye Clinic at the Wheaton location, so this was my first experience at the St. Charles facility. As usual, the staff was friendly and compassionate. The physician gave me a good understanding of my eye condition as I was coming in for a follow up appointment from an emergency a week ago in which case they got me in SAME DAY within two hours of me calling!!! PHENOMENAL!!! I can't say enough great things about this place. If you have eye issues...this is the place to go!

Finding the right doctor for your children is a continual worry, particularly when it comes to their vision at such a young age(started wearing glasses at the age of 2). I was referred by a nurse practitioner to the Wheaton Eye Clinic since it includes pediatric specialists. I'm glad I took her advise. Dr. Nathaniel McIntyre is the best pediatric ophthalmologist in the region! He is really knowledgeable and answers all of your questions and concerns in a very kind manner. He is also an excellent childcare provider. Recently, he operated on my twins to correct their strabismus, and I am truly grateful for the treatments and services he has provided over the last two years. I will keep telling everyone I know about him! Please do not hesitate to set that appointment up.

My trust for the doctors on staff plummeted when Dr. Setlur removed my mother's lens implant w/o replacing it. As we since learned he should have. He told us it was not possible. A lie which is forcing my 78 year old mother to undergo a second surgery. Additionally, she has been without usable vision in that eye for 2 months while it heals. Which Setlur told her it must do before having the implant replaced. Another lie. None of my family will be going to any of the doctors at Wheaton Eye Clinic again.

I visited this office due to some blurriness in my right eye and this was the office they could get me in the fastest to be seen. Everyone was very nice and friendly. I saw Dr. Setlur. He was knowledgeable about my situation and advised me my issue was caused by some recent steroid use. My eyes should return to normal in a few months. He wanted a follow up visit in 2 months to make sure things are getting better. Thank you for your help to make sure it wasn't more serious. I appreciate you getting me in so quickly and easing my concerns. Barb
