Todd E. Funk, OD

I had an excellent experience at Dr Funk's office. Kayla his assistant was very friendly and did a great job with my initial screening procedures. Dr Funk did the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. He used the technology he has to show me small issues I had going on with my eye lashes and the glands in my eyelids. Barb was great in helping me pick out 2 pairs of new glasses. She had an instrument that measured my head and the distance between my eyes for frames that were the perfect fit. In 40 years of wearing glasses no one had ever used something like this on me. My wife LOVES the frames she picked out. I appreciate the professionalism and excellence their office showed me that one would not get at a corporate eye practice.

I think they were great! Everyone in the office was respectful, personable, and informative. We were very informed about out of pocket costs prior to the exam and after when choosing our (my husband and I both went) glasses. Dr. Funk asked me information about my health that would affect my eyes and was super informative and caring. I highly recommend this office. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!

If I could award 0 stars, I would, because that's what you get with Todd. In June of 2020, I went in for my yearly eye exam and to possibly get new glasses. They explained each test in detail, including cost, and had me initial next to each before we went to the back office to do the exams. None of parts of the exam cost more than $40-50, so I signed off on each. As I'm getting my exam, Todd inquired about contact lenses, and I told him I'd tried them a couple times in the last 20 years and I could never wear them because of sensitive eyes. He tells me he could give me a quick contact lens exam, and we could do a 10 day trial of contacts to give them a shot since the technology has advanced so far. Nothing said about price whatsoever, and yes I suppose I maybe should have asked. After finishing the entire exam and as I'm leaving, I find out the contact lens exam is $150 and isn't covered by insurance. So all said and done, I'd already paid $200+ out of pocket. The contacts were unwearable, and I barely used half of the trial before giving up. Feeling like I'd been squeezed for easy money, I was angry and decided not to pursue anything else with Todd or his 'business'. Fast forward 4 months. I get a bill for $167 that I can barely understand because it's a confusing hot mess of charges all over the place. After calling, I was told it wasn't actually a bill, it was a 'pre-charge' for the contact lenses they assumed I would get. What? That was 4 months ago. They assured me it wasn't a bill and that I didn't owe them any money. Fine. Fast forward to now. I finally can't put of getting glasses anymore and go to another establishment, where I'm told nothing will be covered because I just got contact lenses back in June. WHAT?!? So I go to Todd's office, where they proceed to tell me that they sent the claim to the insurance company? Despite me never having gotten any lenses? The secretary tells me she will call the insurance company to get that reversed and that I should be good to get glasses within a day or two. After calling the insurance company and finding out they actually paid a claim(fraudulent?) on these lenses and that it could take WEEKS to get everything cleared up so I can use my benefits. WOW. I literally left that hot mess and went home and found another bill in the mail for the lenses I never got that they billed to insurance, and actually told me just a few months ago that it was cleared up? I'm telling you right now, if you're even thinking about going into this place for anything, good luck! I have to question whether I'm just that one customer that completely slips through the cracks, but holy smokes. I can't even believe it. The level of incompetence, ignorance, and disregard is shocking. It's worth noting that Todd, the guy's name on the business, never showed his face except to perform my eye exam. Never saw the guy again. He left his poor secretaries to deal with his shady business practices. I hope you fare way better than I did!
