Dr. Gohar A. Salam, MD

Dr. Salam is very current with his practice and the technology used to assess a patient. Add his wealth of knowledge, his willingness to educate patients, and his kind and empathetic approach. His staff is very warm and welcoming. From the time I entered the lobby to leaving my appointment I encountered well educated and superbly trained staff. They understood when I said I was anxious and were reassuring. Thank you for the excellent care. I am grateful.

I give Dr. Salam and his staff the highest marks! Dr. Salam was very patient with me as I had some anxiety with having eye surgery. He explained everything and was very caring from the first time I saw him until I was released from his care. I feel I was taken care of very well by Dr. Salam and all of his staff. The office atmosphere is very calming as well. I highly recommend Dr. Salam without reservation.

Moved back from FLORIDA 2 or 3 years ago. I'm diabetic have MD the dry kind. I've seen him before so I called thinking I could get an appt even though I'm a few months late but no I have to go back to regular "my regular "eye doctor and he will decide what to do. I told them my eye doctor is in Florida and yes they are specialist and I've sent records from Florida. I've not seen anything but specialist for at least 10 years. So mad I sat her crying. Will not be back and will complain to my insurance company. And the only reason I'm late is I've been sick and through a lot of test for the past months so that drained my money.

Dr. Salam and staff are very professional and caring. They take the time to answer questions, explain procedures thoroughly, one never feels rushed and patients are treated like family. I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing eye specialist care.

I am so lucky to find Dr. Salam for treatment of my eyes. When I mention his name to other eye doctors , they all say "you are in good hands" . And I really feel the magic of his hands when injecting into my eyes. For so many times of injections ,I never had any problem worth complaining. He is great, he is a true specialist for treating ( macular degeneration). Thank God I found him.

Dr. Salam is great at his profession! He and his staff are very professional, kind and caring. Through four laser procedures, my retina finally stabilized. He had my back thru the whole experience and was great at taking time to explain to me what was happening with my retina. I would highly recommend Dr. Salam.

I have no direct and appropriate information regarding Dr Salam other than to say that there are, to my personal knowledge, only two retinal surgeons that treat detached or torn retina in Fort Wayne. Both appear to be fully qualified and excellent physicians. Both appear to be in high demand. Both are personally very responsive to patients. There can be, however, miscommunication with ER staff and Dr's office staff about availability for referrals - be persistent. No time to dawdle with retinal detachment.
