Went for annual exam. I received a bill after the appointment. I had just switched insurance companies and wanted to find out why I was billed for an annual exam since insurance covers this. I have been calling the billing department for over a week and cannot get anyone to answer. I finally called scheduling and they could never get anyone to pick up in billing either. The scheduler told me she would have a manager call me back. Hasn't happened. No one has returned my other prior messages with billing. The doctor was great though. This rating is based solely on customer service.

They didn't charge my insurance correctly so they didnt get paid. Blamed me after the fact when i already had paid what i owed and gotten my contacts. I refused to pay them more for a while because its money i don't owe. Got tired and decided to cut my losses and never go back so i paid them off only for a weak later see they sent the bill to collections after they had been paid so now they only hit on my credit ever are these fools who cant run a business.

i have been going hear for years and until recently have never had an issue. Dr Beard and Tyler are great. the office is horrible. Have been waiting weeks for a cataract referral to be sent. Have left multiple messages over the last few weeks and no one has returned my call. impossible to wait on hold to talk to a real person. Phone system sends you to voice mail after 60 seconds.

If I could, I would leave zero stars. The lady at the desk is super rude and unprofessional and unhelpful. Nothing but problems for the 4 plus years we've been going there. Thank goodness for new insurance.

Midwest Eye consultants are excellent!! The whole experience, from the eye exam to getting trial contact lenses to ordering contact lenses has been very positive. Dr. Taylor is a great optometrist, and the optometric technicians are also very professional and kind. Will continue to come back here for eye exams and contact lenses!

I'll start with the good, the pretest lady and the doctor were professional and efficient, kind. The only part of that process I didn't like was they tested my vision after my eyes were completely dilated and everything was blurry. After the exam is when it went downhill. The checkout process was AWFUL. The lady was a miserable and unpleasant human. It started to feel like she was making us wait just to be rude. We were the first appointment of the day so I can't imagine what took her 45 minutes to compile for checkout. The glasses selection process was okay but not great. The girl should have more training on the add ons, it was confusing. Every single frame I picked up was completely filthy and covered with fingerprints. A good wipe down has probably never happened. My glasses came in relatively quickly. The man got them from the drawer and completely manhandled them, bending them before they were even put on my face. I really wish he hadn't done that, the sample pair fit perfectly without adjustment and my new pair now feel loose. I don't dare go back to him for help, I couldn't wait to get out of there. In fact, I waited until I had my glasses before leaving a review because I feel like the office lady would punish us somehow if she read the review. I'll be sure to share this with all my coworkers who were waiting to hear about my experience here. Corporate should really get involved with this site. Again, the testing and doctor exam were great. Everything else was not.

Dr. Taylor is amazing! Unfortunately everyone else, especially the front office staff/phone staff, are extremely rude and lack empathy. Its so bad, that have chosen to go somewhere else.

Ordered single vision glasses 6 weeks ago. Still haven't received them. Never received any communication from MEC. Called them a few weeks ago, they found out the frames were on back order. They supposedly received them the day before. Called 1 week ago, MEC said they were shipped. Called today, glasses are not in and nobody has time to research it right now. Maybe they will have more time now, because we will never go back there. Worst customer service ever!
