Gunderson Eyecare P.C. (Optometrists)

I will never go back to this Dr. Gunderson. She gave me the wrong prescription for my contacts. I bought a 6-month supply from her that cost about $300. After wearing them for a few weeks I explained to them that I couldn't see correctly when wearing my contacts and I thought something was wrong with my prescription. Her assistant said that because I had never worn contacts that it would take some time for my eyes to adjust to wearing them. They had me try a different manufacturer with the same prescription and that didn't help either. She brought me back in for a refraction test which she charged me for. At this appointment I gave them all of the unopened contacts I hadn't used. I had used three pairs out of a 6 months supply. At this refraction appointment Dr. Gunderson said that my eyes had changed dramatically. I explained that there was no way that my eyes had changed that much that quickly without something being wrong with my eyes. She brought me back in and did a full exam(for free) on my eyes and said nothing was wrong with my eyes but that my vision had changed. She gave me a tester pair in the new prescription and those weren't right. I called and explained to them that I still couldn't see correctly. Her office called me back and told me to come in and pick up a new pair of tester contacts with a different prescription and try them. Finally I could see out of that pair. I then asked them if I could come pick up the same amount of contacts that I had returned to them in the correct prescription. They said no I would have to purchase them again from them. I still don't understand why they took the boxes of my paid for contacts back from me and wouldn't replace them with the correct prescription. I had told them from the first week of wearing them that they weren't right. My vision never changed they gave me the wrong prescription. I believe that they are not an honest business and I left this review to save the next person from maybe going through a similar experience

I've been going to Gunderson's for a while now. The doctors are always very friendly, and they make me feel valued as a patient.. When going through procedures, they also always let me know what to expect and its purpose which is very ethical. The other staff members are also all very friendly and they all are willing to make connections through chit chat that isn't awkward which I appreciate. The best thing for me about this place, though, is the frames. I typically wear contact lenses because I struggle to find glasses that I feel good in. The people at Gunderson's (with ease) helped me find the frames that I feel is perfect for me. I love the pair I purchased very much, and I love that I can keep the frames but change the lenses as my prescription changes. Definitely will keep going here.

I am so happy with my purchase of sunglasses at Gunderson Eyecare! Hailey and Max were super helpful with showing me the extensive collection they had to offer, as well as finding options that were in my price range. I was really impressed to find designer shades at an affordable price, along with great service. I would highly recommend Gunderson Eyecare for all of your optometric needs!

10 years of been use contacts I never have troubles with the brand I always use! Trying this eye doctor I didn't have any lucky just trouble they contacts are very low quality the worse experience I been facing in my life ! So frustrating and disappointing!

I have had a great experience each time I have visited Gunderson Eyecare. I had an issue with my eye a few months ago and Dr. Kim was able to get me in right away. The entire staff is professional and easy to talk to.

I was looking for a special eye doctor who could do a certain test . My experience was wonderful. Everyone was so nice and friendly ! Trenton did my tests and he did an amazing job. I was just so pleased with the doctor too. I will be returning again and telling others how great they were!

My husband and I had a really great experience from start to finish. The receptionist, techs, optician and the optometrist were all professional, kind and easy to talk to. We're excited to get our glasses soon and to continue care with this clinic. Thank you Gunderson team! Regarding negative reviews about expensive glasses... You get what you pay for. Costco or other cheap lenses and frames are just that - cheap. If you have a minimal prescription perhaps you can get away with it, but if you have a moderate to severe prescription and want your glasses to be sturdy enough to last two+ years, be accurately made, not cause eyestrain, etc... I suggest buying quality lenses and frames. It saddens me that opticians get a bad rep for "ripping you off" when they simply aren't. Just wanted to add that!

Always a good experience everytime I go in for anything; very nice and friendly staff! Definitely recommend getting your glasses/sunglasses at Gunderson, they have so many different styles to choose from, I love mine!
