Walmart Vision & Glasses

IF THERE WAS A NEGATIVE STAR RATING THEY WOULD GET NEGATIVE 100. Update, I went in to get my glasses prescription, since I decided to get glasses also this year, as well as contacts to compare my prescription to the place I got a second option at because I could not see through either prescription walmart had me in, ok he had my contact and glasses prescription DIFFERENT PRESCRIPTIONS, AND FOR THE BIFOCAL, IT JUST SAYS ADD LOW...COULD NOT SEE OUT OF EITHER. When I was ordering my glasses the tech says we have you in a very high bifocal...well that explains that. He didn't even have the decency to add my bifocal prescription to my prescription he released to me. Why because he put me in a HIGH BIFOCAL....THATS WHY I COULDN'T SEE OUT OF THEM. I have the papers. Btw my husband has had his issues thete as well. Wrong scropt and when he scratched a lens they ordered the opposite lens... nothing about this place is right. ALSO EVERY YEAR I SAID I WISH THERE WERE BIFOCAL CONTACTS. THEY FLAT OUT LIED FOR 3 YEARS AND SOLD MY EYE DROPS FOR THAT. WHICH CAUSE HEAD ACHES. BTW they have made bifocal contacts for years. And about my contact and glasses prescription compared to the second opinion place I went to. WALMart OPTICAL IN MARION progressively had my in unnecessary worsening prescription for OVER 4 years. My prescription when I found out vacation was going on this year was 4 prescriptions STONGER THAN MY TRUE PRESCRIPION. WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS??? BE AWARE. ITS LIKE A MICKEY MOUSE OPERATION. I have been informed if a optical employee taking walmart associates phone to make fake good reviews on here because of all the bad reviews. I was not going to leave my terrible, awful review until I heard this. I have been progressively put in worse contact prescriptions for contacts at least 4 years or more now unknowingly at this location. I finally got a second option. I ordered glasses this year and I could not see out if them. They also reinstated my insurance of the return of everything I purchased them then found out when I went to the new location I waz told to chech why my insurance was reinstated from walmart so I could use itvat the new optical plce I went tobfor my second option. Walmart called my insurance right in front if me and said someone from walmart canceled my reinstatement. Everything had already been returned. Last I knew that is theft.At this point everything had been returned and I made them fix it. They also did not take a picture of my prescription so it could be released to me until I went back again and asked and found that out. Update.. jyst foumd out he put me in different scripts for glasses and contacts and put a strong bifocal script for my orders...but the papers script said low. But my entire prescriptions were 4 times stronger that needed anyway so why would the bifocal bad script surprise me. This is just terrible...awful that a in optical place is like this. This place shouldn't even be open. Total hnickey mouse operation. I truly hooe more people catch th8s. It you cant see clear out if your prescription come forward. It doesn't help to with them. I tried so I moved on. Come forward on here and get a second option.I was not going to share until I was informed if what an optical employee did with walmart associates phone making bad reviews. My experience was awful enough...please keep moving if you are possibley considering walmart Marion optical. Luckily now with my second opinion else where I can see. Not to mention when I tried return everything one of the ladies was very rude about it.

Optician, Donnie Hunt, was very respectful, thorough with knowledge, and took the time for all of my needs with nothing but respect. This was my second visit at Walmart Vision and there will be more to come because of this talented man. He helped me every time with no hesitation. Thank you so much, Donnie!!! -Donovan Stepler

I called after 5 Monday to schedule an apt, was seen Tuesday, glasses came in Thursday. It was the quickest process I've ever been through for any type of service. The staff was great and I also got 35% off frames for purchasing 2. Will recommend and be back!

Very professional and nice people ,the young lady named Jessica was very helpful and sweet in picking out my glasses. The staff all liked them and then put up with me whining about the nose pieces and fixed them for me

The folks who work here are very nice, but I had a bad experience with the corporate side of WalMart billing me additional money a full eight months after they had accepted payment from my vision insurance for services provided. A shoddy way to do business, WalMart. I guess l'll just have to keep driving to Costco optical in Fort Wayne. Never had that problem with them.

I went in today 11/11/24 for an eye exam to get lenses for frames that I had bought prior to this appointment. I was treated very poorly by one of the assistants there. She was one of the two "older" ladies working there today. One had blonde/white hair and the other had darker hair and glasses. The darker haired one with glasses is the one I am referring to. I can't think of her name for nothing but she smacked her lips and gave me a look of disgust when I told her I had another card for my vision insurance that takes $5 off the eye exam price. Then when she looks at my card she tells me it's not in network but my main vision insurance is so I'm not sure how that's true. Also, she kept trying to talk me out of getting the lenses that my insurance paid for and kept insinuating that I should buy the more expensive ones. She kept asking personal questions about how much money I spent on my frames cause I could have gotten them there and so on and so forth. Then she proceeds to tell me in order for the eye dr to make a "print" of the frames to send to the people who makes the lenses it's going to be an additional $10. Mind you I called the day before and spoke with her and let her know that I was bringing my own frames. I was not informed at all the day before about the up charge for the "print" of my frames. She tells me she didn't know how the conversation went on the phone the day prior but she was the lady I spoke with. She proceeded to throw her attitude at me and said to me "I wasn't the one who spoke with you on the phone. She says "I only talked to you about your insurance so don't go there with me." Which is a lie cause there wasn't two different people on the phone. When I went to check out I asked for a copy of my prescription and she printed it and practically threw it at me. When i came up for air and called her rude she denied what just happened and walked off smarting off under her breath. I was treated very poorly at this location and I will never return to Walmart vision center of Marion, Indiana ever again thanks to this associate. Honestly if she can't handle working with the public she should consider changing professions. I hope something is done about her and her rudeness cause that's definitely not good for business and I will warn every person I can about that place. They definitely lost this customer. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

You don't have lower than 1 star?! Walmart's vision center really has the dang audacity to charge a repeat customer for a small piece of plastic...they were fully paid for when purchased, but they do NOT back their crap!

Such amazing people the really rescued me when I dropped my glasses in the fryer. Thank you so much!!!
