We will never do business here again. EVER. My daughter has a 200$ frame allowance but there aren't any frames for that cost available in the store. I was charged 75$ for the simple fact that I have had cataract surgery. Since my surgery I have had numerous pairs of glasses and never paid more than my co pay. There was nothing different about the exam. There was another 45$ charge for refraction I was not told about up front. They no longer accept care credit either which is how I usually pay for eye visits. It's pretty sad that my child could not get a pair of glasses with a 200$ allowance. What is this world coming to.

I would never recommend this business to anyone. The front desk staff is incredibly disrespectful. They treated both my child and myself as though they were better than us, annoyed we were there and were incredibly dismissive. When asking for some information they refused to answer. Hoping I could get a general answer from our medical records, I asked for these and was told by the front desk she would mark out that information. The dr seemed to be in a rush and she has very poor bedside manner. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I used to go to the one in Ankeny a couple years back and loved it. I went to the Altoona location last year and the doctor was amazing. She was attentive, so nice and knowledgeable. But the front office staff was extremely dismissive and acted as though I was "putting them out" by being there. Again, that was about a year ago so I'm not sure if things have improved, but judging from recent reviews, others are experiencing the same thing(s). Would definitely come back for an exam, but I wouldn't come back to purchase glasses/frames.

My experience at Metro Eye Care today was very good? The staff were all very polite. I did have hearing issues when questions were asked. I did tell the person asking the questions that I was heard of hearing. The doctor was very thorough and spoke clearly. All in all a good experience.

I've been to a lot of eye doctors over the years. My family and I followed Dr Neighbors from the last office he worked at because I think he's so great. He's thorough, friendly, doesn't angrily lecture me for wearing my contacts too much, and doesn't try to sell me products I don't need. I'm sad I only get to see him once a year. The receptionist and nurses were very friendly as well. Do you need a great eye doctor? Dr Neighbors is your guy.

First off the new office is very nice, clean and welcoming! Right off the bat I was greeted in a friendly manner know I was going to be taken care of. I sit down and maybe 2 minutes goes by and Payton, who was absolutely amazing and efficient took me back to the exam room. She was very helpful, friendly and delightful. Doctor Neighbors came in quick and is always nice and helpful. He got me all set up with my new prescription and I was on my way out the door! This place is the best! If you need a new eye doctor Payton and Doctor Neighbors are the people to see!

My friend had a very negative experience here. Front desk staff Kaitlyn was very rude and dismissive when she was concerned about her vision prescription. She's now planning on paying out of pocket to see another office that actually cares about her wellbeing and eyesight needs. Just a quick update: my friend got a second opinion at an eye doctor she trusts and the prescription was indeed incorrect. She is struggling to get ahold of a manager so she can receive a refund for the prescription that was incorrect. They stated that they cannot give out a refund because they just decided amongst themselves to just renew her old prescription. She stated that no one talked to her about that change or informed her that a new decision had been made. Hopefully the manager is more helpful and caring than the front office staff.

NEVER DARKEN THIS PLACE'S DOOR. I had a routine visit and it cost me $175. Then on top of it they charged me for a visit from a year ago for $106 I called and questioned them and they told me if I hadn't heard from them it was paid. No statements for one Year!!!
