America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Wow! I have to rave about a rave about a gal, Anadia (I'm probably spelling her name wrong). She was AMAZING! Back story. I went to the Clive location for my exam. I was unable to find a pair of frames I liked. So, I went to the Ankeny location to look there. I was looking to also buy my first pair of progressive lenses. When I arrived, she was helping a couple. She was talking to them like they were old friends. Helped them and came to me. She was so down to Earth. She explained everything, helped me find the best pricing, measurements, the works! All while answering the phones, helping answer teammates questions, etc. I never felt ignored and she never lost her cool or showed signs of being overwhelmed. She had superior patient and customer care the entire time. She knew her stuff and it shined. This is no offense to the other 4 employees, but she was the only one answering calls all while helping 2 people. This kind of employee is one in a million! Not only are the patients lucky to have her, but also America's Best! She deserves a huge kiddos! Great job!

We had Anadia, she was extremely helpful, she help us right away and also let me know that the coding on my glasses was coming off. She advised me that I had warranty on my glasses and that I should probably get new ones. She also let me know that I could keep the ones I have now until the new ones come in. I'm in college and she let me know that i could come pick them up whenever within a month. All in all she was really helpful.

I appreciated the friendly personalized service. Anadia was very helpful in finding the best choice in glasses for me. She was great in working through my insurance coverage to get me the best price. I am very pleased with the overall experience! Thank you Anadia for being so helpful!!!

Anadia was absolutely amazing at helping me pick out the right glasses for my face shape! I was so grateful to have another opinion. She went above and beyond to help me with selections! Anadia And Stacy, we're both incredibly sweet knowledgeable and helpful. They made ordering my glasses very smooth and easy and painless. I came here because I knew that they carried the Pair Eyewear glasses where I could exchange the top frames on them and they are wonderful. I will definitely come back here.

I went to America's best, September 2025 To get my eye exam done. The doctor I saw in Ankeny was great! However as I finished my exam, They asked me if I wanted to order Contacts or get a pair of glasses. I wear contacts, but I usually order through Sam's Club the acuve oasis 6 month biweekly supply for $170, which is convenient for me as I am a student living on my own and working full time. I was told that I could order that same brand and supply but with them it would be 145$. So I thought ghee that works better for me so Ordered through them. When I got them in the mail, I only received 6 pairs. So I then called to see why I received less than what I was told. I called and the lady who I spoke on the phone with explained to me that I in fact Received a 6 month supply of monthly contacts not biweekly like I wanted, (which is why I only receive 6 pairs). I Told her that that's not what I ordered but it would be ok because I didn't have glasses and I couldn't wait any longer, so I just kept the contacts. I tried to keep each pair in for a month, I would get headaches And my eyes would burn. So when I finally ran out, I was gonna order more and I was told that this whole time I actually had been wearing 3 months worth Biweekly supply. I now understand why I was having those headaches and burning sensations in my eyes. It is not FDA approved to keep in biweekly contacts for more than a month. But I did that because I was told that is what I received in the mail. This is unacceptable. I only have two eyes, this could damage my eyes/vision worse. Very disappointed. I would not recommend anyone order anything from here. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. The staff are unprofessional and clearly don't know what they're doing.

Maggie, front desk, is ever so welcoming! Anadia was very personable and courteous when checking me out!! It was extremely busy that day and it was quite a wait to complete my transaction, which I completely understand. Dr. Maxwell takes time to go over the exam results, is patient, and kind.
