Short review: Stop scrolling and book an appointment. ESPECIALLY if you have young kids in need of an eye doctor! Long review: from the moment we stepped through the doors to our last goodbyes at Prairie View Eye Clinic, we were met with smiles, friendliness, and patience. Our first appointment was 3 months ago for two kids back to back and a tag along little sibling. The care and patience with my kids in all of their kid quirks was such a weight off my shoulder. The actual optometry care is also second to none. No gimmicks or overpriced prescription adjustments. One child got the green light to stop wearing glasses after the first appointment (had them for over a year through another optometrist). The other child came back for a follow up and eyesight showed significant improvement and is on the road to better vision! They are also very flexible with appointment times too. The office itself is very clean and peaceful and well decorated without making me feel like my kids are going to break something in the waiting room (which we barely had to wait in - we were only in there so long because they were so sweet to listen to and chat with my child). Wish I had taken pictures or videos during the actual appointment because my goodness. They were ever so patient with my child in the throws of winter wiggles and giggles! They know how to read the room and let parents step in when needed, but they never make you feel pressured to intervene when they may need to repeat directions a couple times. Instead, they are flexible and meet the kids where they're at. Clearly I can't say enough good things about this place!

My first visit at Prairie View Eyecare was such a fantastic experience! The front office ladies are so kind and welcoming. Dr. Kahnk is extremely personable, very thorough, a great listener, and super easy to interact with. The opticians are also wonderful. I got 2 pairs of glasses. I appreciate how knowledgeable they are about figuring out the best way to utilize insurance to end up with the lowest price. The office is beautiful and the entire staff is top notch. I'm not someone who often writes reviews, but these guys truly deserved one. I can't imagine a better eyecare experience than I had here. Very Highly Recommended!

I love everything about this business. First, the location is the most interesting locale within Ankeny. You have to see it to understand why I say that. Secondly, the ladies handling arriving customers are engaging and knowledgeable. Dr. Kahnk was quite personable and thorough. He took the time to explain why an aging gent (me) might have improving vision which I found extremely interesting. I am new to town and didn't relish the idea of leaving my eyecare doctor of 34 years but decided the two-hour drive back to that doctor was not appealing either. I am glad that I made the change to Prairie View Eyecare. Mark P.

Everyone here is awesome! They are all so kind and friendly. I did not feel uncomfortable once! They are also very straight forward with pricing and what is happening during the exam. Great experience:) I don't typically leave google reviews so this says a lot!!

Always have had nothing but great care by Dr. Kahnk and his amazing staff! They all take amazing care of our entire family. We have even had our 1.5 year old daughter in for care and they exceeded our expectations! We can't recommend them enough!

Dr. Kahnk and his entire team are amazing! The customer service team are always helpful and happy to see you, and Dr Kahnk is professional, caring, knowledgable and makes you feel like family. This is the best optical team/office in Ankeny!! Highly recommend!!

Very nice office with great opticians and a nice and communicative doctor. All my questions were answered and my concerns were met with feedback and solutions! Very friendly and warming place! Will be back any time I need my eyes checked or new glasses.
