I buy my glasses there always They are so helpful. Stepped on my discontinued frames went in and he charged me 50 for some expensive frames said he was getting rid of them. I did not see sales ticket or sticker. That was so nice of him to help me like that. He knows I get under 1000mo so helps when he can. Not a chain store Normal owners help keep them going. He didn't charge me for coming back and having other lens put it. I drive from Des Moines to shop for my glasses. I always frequent a place that respect and care for their customers. Very helpful

Charles went above and beyond to get me my glasses (which came late--not his fault). I'm so impressed and moreover the quality of the frames and lens and fitting from Charles were excellent!

I stopped in there to see if they could repair my dad's broken glasses. He is 85 and lives in a nursing home. The temples were taped and the lens kept falling out.They immediately went to work on them while I waited. I was so impressed they took the time and they did an over-the-top wonderful job. I highly recommend the staff!

Kept trying to talk me into monovision. He must get kickbacks or something for monovision prescriptions. I did not want monovision and he kept trying to convince me I had monovision. Would not change my prescription even though I could not see the greatest with my current prescription.

Since I'd gotten my glasses there, I wanted to have a few screws tightened on the sides. The hinges didn't look like regular ones, so I thought going there would be better. Text, no reply. Email, no reply. It's been almost 2 months. I got my glasses tightened someplace else. Maybe my issue wasn't important. Or maybe he just didn't care. So don't count on a reply if you reach out. I don't live in Ankeny, so stopping unannounced isn't something I wanted to do. So buy carefully and have another place set up. If your issue was as simple as mine, don't bother; you'll be ignored. It's not tne fact that I didn't get my glasses tightened there, it's the thought that I was completely ignored. If I wasn't wanted as a customer, have the guts to let me know and why. It's VERY unprofessional to just ignore me; this is the result. An irate former customer that will not recommend this place to anyone. He had his chance and he blew it and now I feel no loyalty

Recently needed to get some glasses soldered. It was a short-notice job and the long-haired gent at Visual Eyes did it in two hours with a fair price. Really cool spot.

Charles was incredibly accommodating. I went to VisualEyes after breaking my glasses and taking them to other places and being told they couldn't be fixed, and that I should just buy new frames. I emailed Charles a picture of broken glasses and he confidently told me he could fix them if I brought them in. You can really tell he loves his work, which is good because he's very skilled at it. Highly recommend!

After switching insurance companies due to my husband's new job, we've been searching for an eye care center that provides excellent service paired with quality exams. We have been traveling out of town for our eye care needs which has been inconvenient for my son's frequent mishaps. Another set of broken glasses led us to stop in at VisualEyes. We were met by the world-renowned CHARLES!! :) He was warm, engaging, and motivated to help us. After doing all he could to fix the broken frames, he ended up placing our old lenses into a new frame at an extremely (nearly no cost) discounted price. We left my son's glasses there and continued with our day. The day passed and I assumed we'd be hearing from them the following business day when ..... the doorbell rang and there was C H A R L E S!!!!!!!!!!! HE CAME TO OUR HOUSE!!!!! AFTER HOURS!!!! I felt transported back in time to Little House on the Prairie with Dr. Baker doing house calls!!! Who stops by people's houses in 2021???? I guess Charles does!!!! To say he went above and beyond the call of duty is a gross understatement. This business has earned 5 stars and we will definitely continue giving them our future business. Way to go, VisualEyes!!!!!!
