Wolfe Eye Clinic

The eye appointment was great, no problems. The problem happened when getting glasses. I repeatedly asked the person who was taking my glasses order if the transition lenses were covered by my insurance, at the time I was unemployed and didn't have the money for extras. She assured me, repeatedly that it was. Two months later, I get a bill from them to pay the balance that insurance didn't cover. So now I am paying money from more important things to pay for an extra that I was told was covered. So, that will be the last time I get my glasses prescription at their office. If they had been honest with me I would have just gotten the bifocals. This was my first experience getting glasses. It will be the last time I get them there.

Excellent clinic and physicians! I've seen Dr. Rhee for years - don't go to anyone else. He took care of my cataracts in 2025. Extremely satisfied with the care I received!! Highly recommend!

Appointment times are a joke. I was not seen by the Dr until well over an 1-1/2 hours after my scheduled appointment. I was informed by staff they routinely ran 1 to 1-1/2 hours past appointments. Totally unacceptable. Staff did not notify patients of delays and older patients were noted sitting alone in examination rooms. One year ago appointments were honored very closely to scheduled appointment times. Very disgusted with staff and the organization for terrible customer service.

Wolfe clinic is the best in town all the technicians are so thoughtful and patient. The front staff are the best as well, they treat you like family. Dr. Boeke is the best very patient and explains everything in layman's terms

I've been to Wolfe Eye Clinic many times. Dr. Mason always explains everything in detail and makes it easy to understand. The technicians and staff at the clinic are very good at what they do, and are always sociable and friendly. I always leave with a better view of my eye health.

I used to be a patient at Eye Care Associates on Division Street in Cedar Falls which was bought out by Wolfe Eye Clinic. I have always had a great experience with the care team, but over the last few years it's become nearly impossible to get on the schedule for a regular check-up and contact fitting, and when you're in the office, they're clearly understaffed. I get the impression they are focused more on serious issues rather than your day-to-day exams and materials needs. I will be finding another provider.

I have always been treated with kindness & respect. Everyone knows what they Are doing & the doctors are all great! They take time to talk with you & explained things about what is going on & what needs to be done.

UPDATE: We were contacted by the escalations team fairly quickly after the original review. I haven't heard anything back or gotten a bill in a few months, so I assume it was run correctly. Updating my rating from 1 to 3 stars. --- My husband's first visit to Wolfe Eye Clinic was January 2025. We gave them 2 forms of insurance: one for the office visit and one for materials. We later got a bill for everything, so I told them to run it through the insurance companies because we shouldn't have a bill per my policy. They said they did. Then, we got another bill for the office visit. I called my insurance and guess what? They have NO record of a claim being filed for vision for my husband. It is past the Timely Filing limit on my insurance, but Wolfe is now telling me they can't resubmit it and it'll be going to collections soon. I have been trying to get in touch with someone who can ACTUALLY help me for over 6 months. Their Patient Care team is a joke, and when they "connect" me to a manager, no one answers. I have literally waited on hold for over an hour trying to talk to someone who can solve this problem. At this point, I think they're just trying to scam me out of my money. We will NOT be returning. So maybe think twice before going here, because otherwise they might stick you with the bill instead of your insurance. Good luck to your credit score.
