My vision had been going foggy off and on for the last 2 weeks. It looked like the mirror after a steamy shower. I called in after giving it a couple weeks to see if it would resolve. It didn't and I called to tell them my vision was foggy and maybe I scratched my eye. I was seen by the nurse/tech who comes in before the doctor and she was one of the most unkind and unprofessional people I've ever met. I've worked with many nurses and doctors and have never experienced someone this bad. I start answering her questions and she slams her palm on her forehead and says the doctor will absolutely not see me this is NOT an emergency. I explained my vision keeps going foggy and she actually argued with me saying "OF COURSE it is if you're not wearing your contacts!" I explained to her 3 times that my vision was completely different and fogging up. Thankfully I did see the doctor who was very nice and kind as usual. I didn't get this girls name and I understand people have bad days but this lady left me feeling absolutely humiliated and actually scared to see the doctor. Thankfully he was extremely kind and helpful

I have been a patient of Dr Saetra for about 8 years now. She has been treating my glaucoma and actually has done a laser treatment to relieve the pressure in my eyes somewhat. She has always had a great bedside Manner and been very professional, I have nothing but good to say about her. She even tried to keep my costs down whenever possible because I didn't have insurance. I have two other friends who went to her and they also loved her. Some days it takes a little longer because she's so busy there due to her excellent work

My dad also had an appt with Dr Saetra for cataract surgery. My dad is 80, and do to covid he had to go to the exam room by himself. He called me one hour and half later to tell me no one had been in to see him or check on him. I approached the receptionist and she had a attitude of not really caring but proceeded to check to let me know someone was finally with him. Another hour went by only for them to do a consultation and scheduled two more appointments for the surgery. I called this office the next day to cancel the appointment and they really didn't care. The office staff of this doctor has the same horrible bedside manner as Dr Saetra. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone!

Do not go here. Had a new patient appointment set up. Forgot when it was. Called to find out, they told me I had missed it and refused to reschedule. I had COVID at the time of the appointment, but they didn't want excuses. They were very curt and anxious to make me understand my behaviour was unacceptable. I will take my business somewhere else.

Long story short, I went to an appt there, got eyes dilated, Dr. (Who is no longer there), said she would be back to finish exam, I fell asleep and woke up to a dark, closed office. The doctor tried to blame the nurse and I told them no way. The Dr started a procedure, and failed to follow up. They would never schedule another appt for me after that.

I was referred to the Davenport Eye Group when my regular optometrist had some concerns about one of my eyes. My regular doctor stated to me that she hoped that they would perform some scans to rule out any more malignant issues. I was seen by Dr. Saetre after a long 40 minute wait but she just briefly looked at the page long note sent over from my regular doctor and proceeded to do only a couple of tests before giving me the generic diagnosis of a drooping eyelid. I asked about the other symptoms that I was experiencing and Dr. Saetre laughed and said she didn't know what was wrong but I had a drooping eyelid. I mentioned doing some scans and again Dr. Saetre laughed and stated that there would be nothing to see on any scans because all I had was a drooping eyelid. It was only after my own stony silence at her disregard of any of my objections that she performed one final test halfheartedly before sending me home with a note to follow up with my normal doctor in a couple months. I am a student and I am a medicaid patient so that may have something to do with her dismissive nature but it is very sad to think that you cannot get good care unless there's big $$$ in it for the provider. Overall, I'm very dissatisfied with the care that I received. If you are referred to this clinic, I suggest requesting one of the other doctors besides Dr. Saetre.

My glasses prescription expired, I did not receive a phone call or a letter asking for a follow up appointment or a heads up. I go in because my glasses break two days after the prescription expires and I'm waiting 3 weeks to see a doctor.

Our family has been going to Davenport Eye group for 17 years and we are always well taken care of. We really like our doctor and his staff they are knowledgeable and always on time and courteous.
