Eye Care for Animals - Overland Park

This was my first experience at this clinic and I could not have been any happier. I was/am very concerned for my dog and her health and the Dr. and staff treated me very good. Explained what the issue was, gave me options and made sure that I understood everything. She is scheduled for surgery and I'm absolutely sure she will be in good hands and all will be well. I would highly recommend this Dr. and clinic.

Dr. Amy Hunkeler and her team were extremely friendly and helpful as well as caring towards my pups. They got us in very quickly for an eye problem as well as working us in for some OFA's as well. Im always very happy with my visits here.

Excellent frontline staff as well as clinical staff members. My husband and I felt we were important to staff and concerns were heard. Our dog's care was first of importance and education for treatment and potential care was made known.

We received Excellent care from eye care for animals! Our Great Dane had to have her third eyelid removed. She had her surgery the same day we brought her in for assessment and we were able to take her home a few hours later. This was especially important since we had to drive three hours each way. We highly recommend Eye Care for Animals.

Best of the best!! I can't say enough good things about our visit! Dr Hunkeler and Nikki were beyond amazing! They were so kind and gentle with Lola and eased my nerves- they have a wonderful bedside manner. I'm looking forward to our follow up visit. The picture taken was on our way home after an eye test.

This 1-Star review is not due to the care we received from Dr. Hunkeler or the staff when we brought our cat in for a condition called entropion. This review is due to the excessive price gauging at this clinic due to it being owned by Thrive Pet Care (TPC). TPC is a veterinary consolidator backed by private equity. These consolidators gobble up smaller mom-and-pop or independently owned clinics which can result in removing competition from the market, creating monopolies, price-fixing and other anticompetitive practices. Private equity exists to extract profits - not to protect consumers or offer competitive pricing. Pet owners take heed! I shopped my cat's procedure at the local veterinarian-owned clinics and found their price to be 50-75% less. Your locally owned vet clinic can perform many of the same procedures offered by Eye Care for Animals at a fraction of the cost.

Had to take my dog in for an emergency eye check. They were very thorough and understanding. Had to pay an additional charge as I was a walk in. Thought the cost was reasonable, especially with a minimum wait.
