Mayra, the optician at the pediatric eye clinic is absolutely wonderful. She has excellent communication skills with children. She goes out of her way to be sure my children have properly fitting glasses. She is kind and patient. We drive 4 hours each way to come to KU, and it is worth every effort to go to such a place of excellence. They also accommodate my four children so their appointments are back to back with Dr Weiser. We have had an excellent experience with Dr Weiser. We could not be happier with our experience.

KU Eye Center always provides exceptional service! Every member of staff from Check In on goes out of their way to make you comfortable. As far as the Eye Specialty Surgery goes, they are tremendous! You couldn't find better!

I had my appt with Dr. Whittaker and his resident Robert. Liz was assisting. Everyone was absolutely awesome! Very thorough, friendly and professional. Excellent care that took a load off my mind. Finally in good hands, getting treatment I need.

Outstanding Cataract Surgery and Lens Implant Experience I recently had cataract surgery at KU Eye Center with Dr Stephen Ambrose MD, and I'm beyond grateful for the exceptional care I received. From the very first visit, the entire team made me feel at ease by thoroughly explaining the process and my options for lens implants. Their expertise and patient-centered approach reassured me I was in the best hands. The surgery itself was smooth and far easier than I expected. I appreciated how the staff guided me through every step, keeping me comfortable and informed. The procedure was quick, painless, and stress-free. The results have been incredible! My vision is now sharper and clearer than it's been in years, and I no longer need glasses for most activities. The improvement has made a noticeable difference in my daily life. I'm also impressed by the excellent follow-up care--Dr Ambrose and team were attentive, thorough, and available to answer any questions during my recovery. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you're considering cataract surgery or lens implants, I wholeheartedly recommend KU Eye Center. I don't understand why there's so many "good" reviews for Jason A Sokol. He has no empathy whatsoever and when we were making an appointment to see him, we never spoke with him at all prior to the appointment. Two minutes into the appointment and he made all of us filled with anger and sadness and he did not have a care on his face. He proceeded to tell us to return back to our previous doctor/surgeon, whom we said we would not be returning to due to the exact same reasons Jason A Sokol wouldn't see us.

I had cataract removal in both eyes in June and July respectively. From start to finish, I received the best service possible. From reception through to surgery and post surgery. Dr. Greenwald is a highly capable surgeon and very qualified. The same is true for every admin resource and every resource in the surgery division. My husband had his first eye surgery yesterday as well. He will leave his own review later.

Dr Godfrey was absolutely the best. So sorry that he retired. He was able to treat my eye infection without the injection my other eye specialists were doing. Using the correct eye drops has kept my eye infection free.

For 3 1/2 years I was blind. Couldn't figure out what was wrong with my eyes after four specialist. I met Dr. Goins who also worked with Dr. Greenwald. They were able to find out that I had OCP where I had a reaction to medication that caused me to have an autoimmune & blindness and now I have limited vision. I would hv been permanently blind if not for them. They are a blessing
