Visionworks Doctors of Optometry

This is our second year getting our eyes done here and I have to say I'm slightly disappointed. We went for glasses for my son and the Dr told us pretty much contacts were his only choice, seeing how contacts were more expensive and not covered by insurance we were slightly confused. They said the exam was free and we had 80$ towards contacts....awesome! My son sat down and 5 people stood around and watched him struggle to put his contacts in. Nobody sat and helped or gave him advice. So the exams free and we get to paying she said the price for 6 months of contacts.... Perfect! With the free exam it's gonna be like 80$. Then she says "55 dollars for the contact exam" THE WHAT?! What contact exam! She said "when you sit here and we help with your contacts that's the exam" THAT WAS NOT AN EXAM! That was self check out at Walmart! Unfortunately we will be going elsewhere now I don't want to get tricked into spending money

My experience and interaction with the staff overall was great. They were extremely polite and took time attending to my needs quickly. The only exception to this was the time between completing my exam and being called to measure for and order my glasses. I had to wait approximately an hour between the two. Had it been available I more than likely would have offered a rating moreso of a 3.75 due to incorrect information regarding pricing. I asked and received verbal confirmation twice regarding the cost vs my insurance coverage for my glasses. I was told each time that my insurance allowance would cover my entire purchase. When it was time to settle my bill I found that it was going to cost me out of pocket to finish the transaction. I am not too upset about my personal cost (though it will be double once I purchase my second pair, which I could not do at the time because of the unexpected cost difference). However, had I arrived without enough money with me, both my time and the time of the individual who brought me would have been wasted for nothing. I do thank them for the pleasantness of each of their employees regarding my time spent with them and will continue to do business with them.

My mother and I both went in at the same time, mom with One optometrist, and myself with another. Overall, the experience was very good. The doctors took Their time and explained any question that was asked . I would refer any of these optometrist. P.S. These doctors are so proficient at their job that there is usually a little wait time. But believe me it's well worth it. If it wasn't for the optometrist I saw who found my cataracts in an advanced stage, and then referred me to a specialist I probably would not have been able to have the surgery, because they would've been too Advance to Surgically remove, so I'm very grateful!

The Wait time was diabolical!! I was there for a whole hour before I got called back jus to do the eye exam, but the staff and doctors was extremely nice and very helpful when it come to helping choose the right glasses for me.

The doctor and back office staff were friendly knowledgeable and considerate. It took more than 20 minutes to check in because the employees were unprepared and untrained. But the worst was the floor staff man who was arrogant, condescending and borderline rude. The new lenses were going to be over $200 and he refused to use the frames I bought from visionworks last year for my new prescription without me signing a release in case they broke them they could not be required to replace fix or reimburse me.

The registration process took longer but that was due to insurance process. The wait time was quick and the doctor was very nice and answered my questions. Everyone is so nice, the only thing I didn't like was my insurance doesn't give you very many choices in frames.

Was seen within 5 min or less of sitting down upon arrival by tech who tested my eyes on various machines. Then wait for doctor was 10 minutes or less who then took the time to double check my eyes when one eye test was not to his satisfaction. I have changing astigmatism in my right eye. I was very satisfied with the entire visit. My computer glasses were ready in a few days, not even the week they said. I had no wait picking them up.

I am very disappointed in Visionworks. I have been a loyal patient for many years. I have received a new insurance. I called and verified everything myself weeks before my appointment. All of my vision is covered under my medical plan. I booked my appointment weeks in advance, I showed up for my appointment and no benefits had been checked despite doing all the online registration weeks ahead of my appointment. My daughter and I were turned away because they "couldn't figure out" our insurance. I was able to call another eye office and they were able verify it immediately and book me an appointment. There is a lack of knowledge and professionalism at this clinic. I have continued coming here despite extremely long wait times, and rude customer service but this will be the last time. I do not recommend Visionworks at all.
