I was milking an outdated prescription making myself think it was o.k. That the fuzzy lines were something I could live with is what I told myself. The prescription was about somewhere around eight years old. I even used it to order some glasses online a few years back and they were just an old prescription in new frames. I love photography and have been at it fifty years and even that was getting a little harder. Because the place I chose to go, was next to the best Indian Restaurant from Louisville to Nashville, I had been seeing this eye store for a long long time.
So I called Vision Works in Elizabethtown and talked to a nice girl named Anna ( Prounounced Aw-Nah). I made an appointment and on the day I walked in it was crowded. I thought either this is a bad sign or I have finally found eye glass heaven, it was the latter. From the warm greeting walking in, to the receptionist, to the eye test girl and to Dr Mcfadden, the whole process was intentionally made of three things, extreme professionalism, caring, and kindness. The kind folks who helped me were friendly and not the fake friendly but the real kind. Elijah helped me order the pair I got, figure everything out and is a remarkable young man. He understood my passion for Flexon frames. I of course did go long on his name because of it's Biblical significance and my complete love of the name. He probably hears that a lot.He also gets an A+ for being genuinely kind hearted.
Two more folks I met later when picking up my second pair were Taylor and Patricia. Two kind and very sincere young people unafraid and inquisitive. We had a great conversation as they were close to closing and it had slowed down. They were a breath of fresh air in an often very stuffy world.
So if your looking for a professional, kind and friendly place to get glasses I really cant think of a better place. I am more than happy with my glasses for now I can see. I got a deal of buy one pair get one free and of course they are Flexon frames. You know the ones Moses wore leading the folks through the desert for forty years...LOL.The frames meant to hold up when the going gets tough. So I recommend Vision Works whole heartedly. I am thankful Dr Mcfadden and his crew helped my eyes stay healthy so I can keep doing what I love doing....seeing. Below are some of my newest fall pictures of Bernheim . I whole heartedly without reservation recommend Vision Works in E-town.
I had an outstanding experience at Visionworks and wanted to recognize the exceptional team for their professionalism and care.
Amber was absolutely wonderful to work with while I was selecting my frames. She was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping me find the perfect pair. She offered thoughtful suggestions, answered all of my questions, and made what can sometimes feel like an overwhelming decision into an enjoyable and easy process.
Dr. Williams provided one of the most thorough eye exams I have ever had. She took the time to explain everything clearly, made sure all of my concerns were addressed, and never made me feel rushed. Her attention to detail and commitment to patient care were truly impressive.
I also want to commend the entire staff. Even though I didn't have my insurance card with me, they went the extra mile to look up my information and make sure everything was taken care of. Everyone was friendly, patient, and professional from start to finish.
It's clear that this team truly cares about their patients and takes pride in providing excellent service. I highly recommend Visionworks to anyone looking for quality care and a welcoming, helpful environment!
I definitely enjoyed my experience at Visionworks. Every representative was knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Though, I felt like the reception desk needed more assistance, at that moment a rep came out and the line moved smoothly. Once I signed in I was immediately assisted and saw my favorite Doctor of Optometry, Dr. Moore. That's right, Dr Moore works there now instead of Radcliff Walmart, so if your looking for him, which I was as he was my eye Dr., for over 20 years, he works there now. I was exceptionally happy, I found him. Needless to say, he was friendly observant, caring and quick. Also, the representatives that help with finding the perfect pair of glasses displayed exemplary customer service skills. Shout out to Missy. I left with 2 pair of progressive glasses for under 300 dollars, and both frames were over a 100 dollars, but with my insurance and a 50% discount you cant beat that cost during these times. Stop by and check them out you will not be disappointed as they make you feel you are worth every bit of their attention.
So far everything has been good. I had some issues with my eyes and went to some specialist but didn't need to. After 4 years I came back and was told the sun glasses I bought 4 years ago barely had my progressive lenses cut into them. Glad it's been 4 years and I didn't wear them since year 1. Sadly I paid extra money for upgrades lenses and didn't even know I had them cause you couldn't use them. Like I stated, so far everything is good. New pair of regular glasses are great. Can see better and read better. Still expensive even with insurance but it seems everything is expensive now.
Just picked up my newest prescriptions and it was exactly as promised another great choices for eye glasses. They listen to you and provide you with the information you need to get great glasses and sunglasses too - for outdoor wear. The staff is great and wants to listen to your needs and provide products that we reasonably price. I used them about 6 years ago and they still had that information on file and used it to help me with these 2 new glasses. I would recommend them to you to use as well.
I had a good experience after waiting a while to check in... after my appointment time. Line was long and moved slow but receptionist was kind and quick when it was my turn. The girl who did my first eye tests was kind and helpful. I had to wait a while to see the doctor but he was thorough, helpful, kind, and answered any question I had. The lady helping me order glasses was kind, thorough, and also helpful. I will probably go a different time of year next time. My appointment was at 12 and was I was seen closer to 1 and spent about 2 hrs there.
1. Didn't have a long wait after checking in. Checking in went smoothly and respectfully.
2. Doctor was very thorough, respectful and friendly.
3. Young lady that helped me with choosing my glasses was super nice. She helped me with choosing new frames. Helped me understand insurance policy. She also told me about a new feature for my glasses. Made me feel like an important customer.
Everyone at Vision Works are very helpful and respectful. I would recommend them to anyone.
Sue Ann was a pleasure to work with, I appreciated her honest opinion about the frames I chose. My optometrist was nice, but I've never had such a FAST eye exam in my life and I've been wearing glasses for 64 years. I understand that times have changed and equipment is different, but I don't think I was in that chair longer than 5 minutes total. We'll see how my vision is in these incredibly expensive glasses.
