Visionworks Doctors of Optometry

My daughter and I had appointments at Visionworks in Florence, KY on January 6th, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. My daughter was called back first, which was expected since we had back-to-back appointments. However, after she was seen, two other patients were taken before me. It became clear I had been completely skipped. After waiting and realizing no one was addressing the issue, I informed staff that I would not be waiting any longer and we checked out. At checkout, I was told that because it was my daughter's first time getting contacts, she would need a separate contact fitting session. We were informed this couldn't even be scheduled at that time because they were short staffed and the staff member who conducts the session was on vacation. We ended up having to wait two additional weeks for an appointment -- even though my daughter urgently needed contacts because her glasses were broken. They also refused to release the prescription we had already paid for until the fitting session was completed. When I later called to schedule the contact fitting, I expressed my frustration about the delay. The employee I spoke with repeatedly emphasized that they were understaffed. I stated that due to our experience, we would not be returning next year. He responded in a sarcastic tone with "Seriously?!" and then hung up on me. When my husband called back to schedule, he was immediately placed on hold after giving my daughter's name. When my daughter finally attended her fitting session, she waited an hour to be seen and then spent nearly two additional hours completing the session. After receiving her contacts, she complained for weeks that they were blurry and uncomfortable. Because of this experience, I refused to return to Visionworks. Instead, we scheduled an appointment at MyEyeDr.. The difference was night and day. The professionalism and care were outstanding. When I explained our prior experience, they offered to recheck my daughter's prescription. The doctor was genuinely surprised at how incorrect her prescription was and even questioned whether proper equipment had been used. After correcting the prescription, my daughter's new contacts were perfect. We also ordered glasses, and the entire experience was seamless. Unfortunately, our experience at Visionworks was disorganized, unprofessional, and ultimately resulted in an incorrect prescription for my child. We will not be returning. Beware! Been here since 230, its now 406. I was advised by a specific staff member to ask any questions. They disappeared for well over 15 minutes, and when they returned, i was advised by a different staff member sitting at the desk(rudely) that the walk in was waiting longer than me. (Not true). This was unprompted, disregarding and straight up rude. The gentleman at the front desk needs to treat people better.

I always come to this location amd find what im looking for. The staff are helpful and courteous. They explain and help me decide what I would like to have done with my glasses, and I'm never disappointed. The glasses are ready usually within two weeks if they're not stocked in the store. Good, uncomplicated service.

Love this place!!! It's always easy to get an appointment even if it's the same day. The staff here is so nice and knowledgeable, Nick especially makes us feel so welcome. Great selection of lenses. This is where I'll be coming from now on for all my vision needs .

I will never go back, eyes were NEVER even checked. After I told her I think my eyes have changed and am having trouble seeing out of them. Just wanted to make sure, there wasn't something going on with my eyes. Felt like it was a rushed appointment. Then was told people over 40 are not candidates for corrective eye surgery that I'd have to wait til I had cataract surgery when I was old. Very unknowable eye doctor... don't waste your money.

The exam portion went relatively fast. I super appreciated that the imaging was offered as an alternative to dilation. The staff out front were very helpful in opinions on frames and ordering. Additionally, the doctor took time to explain what they are looking for in the exam to me and the condition I was worried about.

The Ophthalmologist herself is great most of the staff is great. Rebecca the "tech" could really use some assistance with customer service and working with the general public... Rude, demanding, no explanation. Been going here for years because it's the only place nearby that takes my vision insurance I will now just pay out of pocket to go elsewhere. Tired of being treated poorly for getting an eye exam?

From the time I walked into the door at Visionworks one of the employees treated me wonderful! And when the actual Eye doctor was finished explaining thing to me, I felt so much more comfortable she made me feel just very very secure! I would definitely recommend vision Works to anyone that I know!
