Ok just to start. I used to love this place, but now there office staff is making the doctors look horrible. I waited for an hour before starting any of the eye exams, or testing they do. Then it took another hour to get to where I have my glasses ordered. I asked for a copy of my prescription because i might want contacts later and want to order them online. After I asked for that they totally changed their tone on how they treated me. And remind you I've been there 2 hours and was free to leave because my glasses was ordered, but the prescription had to be signed by the doctor. I had to wait 20 more min for that. Then they say that I owe $50 from 2016 and wanted me to start paying on that. They had not even told me I had a balance before they handed me my prescription, but since they thought they was going to lose money from me ordering contacts online, they then made It out to be an issue.
I would like to say that the office manager took immediate action when she became aware of my review and situation. She contacted me and told me she would take care of me personally when my glasses came in and she did. She apologized and made me aware of how things should have been handled different. I feel better now and will go back.
So apparently COVID19 caused there computers to crash and lose all patient data except insurance......Honest the receptionist actually said that. She also said "corporate" called all patients to have them reschedule their appointments. My wife and I both had appointments within 2 days of each other that were made last year. There was no call, letter or email. I left work early to go to my appointment only to find out I do not have one..... For a business this is unacceptable, especially for not owning up to the whole "no call". There is plenty of eye doctors out there that would love new business and guess what, they will get mine.
This occurred in 2016, but I only found out what the doctor had done in 2018. I went to this place for a diabetic eye exam, my appointment was at 4:00. It was 4:30 before I went into the exam room. He did not do the eye pressure test, very important to a diabetic. He changed my prescription for my contacts after a quick eye exam.
A year later, I make an appointment at another eye doctor who does the complete eye exam and tests. He finds that my left eye has the wrong strength contact lens . My vision is now so much better.
The doctors are great. It's hit or miss wether my appointments have been on-time. They have the equipment to get the proper prescription. The service staff however can be unprofessional at times and the pricing on frames is a little high. I do keep returning though I did get glasses elsewhere.
Communication, yes, communication is a very important thing. I came in for a consultation, and told the Dr what I needed and wanted if in case I needed prescription glasses. Turns out I needed reading glasses, I told the Dr that I'd need a set of glasses I could wear all the time and not just for reading. She said ok..... so we proceed to the showroom floor where I picked my new glasses, Raybans to be exact. And I chose some not so cheap options.
When it was time to pay the bill, I laid down my cc and paid almost $630. And was told my glasses would be ready in about 3 days.
So time goes by and I get a text saying my glasses have arrived. The next day I come to the office to pick them up, and as soon as I tried them on I know they're wrong and not what I wanted or what I ordered. They tell me I need to wear them over the weekend, I replied, no, I can't see at all with them on. So they asked if I wanted to see the Dr again, to which of course I said yes. "These glasses are wrong and can't wear them all the time" I tell them. So the appointment is set for the following week.
I come in for my app. I'm seen by a different Dr this time, and again I tell her what I need, and what I want. So the exam is done the second time, she brings me to the front office and tells the ladies at the front desk what I need, and that they are going to make it right, th second time around. She tells them the office made a mistake and to get me what she has on the prescription. So, at this point I'm in the impression that we're done, and all I have to do is wait for my new glasses. And I leave the office. I'm just leaving the parking lot when my phone rings, it's one of the girls at the front desk. She tells me I need to come back and pay for the glasses. I tell her they have already been paid for, and that someone had ordered me the wrong thing, hense it was being redone. She tells me if I don't come back and pay "the difference" what ever the difference was (I was never told that btw) they would not order my glasses. I told her to speak to the Dr and to figure out how they need to make things right, and that it was their mistake, I shouldn't have to pay a penny more because they messed up. She at this point is getting irate with me and tells me "you need to come back or we're not ordering your glasses" and hangs up on me. I keep driving till I get home, as soon as I'm in my driveway I call the office again and spoke to someone new, and explained what's happening to her, she puts me in hold and tells me the same thing again, that I need to come in and pay the difference.
At that point I see there is no need for me to deal with them, and told her that if they can't make things right to just refund my money. To which she said I was going to get back some of my money. Now I'm waiting to see what money I will get back from them.
$630 Dollar NO sale, just because they're right and the paying costumer/patient is wrong. This is wrong in so many levels, it's way beyond my comprehension.
Drs. Need to communicate better with the people at the front office. And the front office people need to be better trained to make sure people leaving their office leave with exactly what they wanted, a better vision.
Not with what I left with, a bitter taste and perhaps a bite to my wallet that is already thin enough.
But, I'm hoping to get a full refund, if not I'll be sure to visit the BBB and call my CC company.
A not so seeing clearly customer, but a hopeful one, as always.

I have been going to Advanced Eye Care Center for the past three years. My experiences have always been positive! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable! Great selection of glasses and contacts! The doctors are attentive and caring!
Dr. Kefah Habash was amazing he treated my step daughter very kind. Asked about her life and school, I was very impressed. The staff however could have been a bit more friendly, they weren't rude just wasn't that sociable.
I was seen immediately for my appt. Dr listened to my issue and took time to actually look at my eye. Found a scar that was impeding my vision in my "strong" eye. Finally, an answer to what I thought was my vision degrading rapidly in a short period of time. Thanks so much!
