very well staffed, person who helped me was very nice and knowledgeable. Dr Horton is very nice and really knows her stuff. I've been seeing her for quite a few years. I would recommend her and the Owensboro Family Eye Care facility

My 5 year old had an amazing first eye exam! Staff was extremely friendly! We were in and out in less than 30 minutes! They were great at rescheduling due to health concerns!

She took the time to explain everything thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable throughout my exam. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit smooth and stress-free. The receptionist were friendly, the lady that did my first exams must of had a bad day prior to my appt because she was rude. Dr Horton as well wasn't much better she asks for you to wear a mask, which I was given a kids mask all they had, the lenses would fog up and shed get hateful. Which wasn't my fault. I had a late appt because of work, wasn't aware in the beginning they closed at 5. So the staff was rushing around. The woman that helped pickout frames was very helpful, sweet and friendly. I wasn't able to get frames that day. Going to try order off line for now. I cant afford to be ripped off.

Everyone is great! I see Dr Traylor since he specializes in glaucoma, among other eye issues. He was very personable and explained a lot that I didn't know. Annie, who did the testing, explained each step. She was also great!

Heidi was wonderful. I always try to get her services when I go in for anything. She is professional and great at what she does.

I highly recommend you take you and your family somewhere else. I had my first appointment at this office (I previously went to the Henderson office) and had only one positive interaction with the lady as I was checking out at the glasses/contacts desk. When I first arrived the receptionist did not look up from her phone while I stood there. The optometry assistant that took me for the initial exams was nothing rude. I have worn contacts for almost 20 years and so they have become such a routine I don't pay attention to the box. I was asked what brand contact I wear and I couldn't remember. The assistant replied-"you mean you're almost 30 and don't know the brand you wear?" She then proceeded to ask if I knew the color of the box and I relied-"blue and white" and she replied-"do you realize about how many contact boxes are blue and white". Mind you, none of this is done politely but VERY VERY rudely and I am an existing patient, it should be in my file right? (and it was) After put into an exam room, she brought a box (I can't not see anything without contacts or glasses and I had removed my contacts for the initial exams) and asked if that was it. I said "no, I know it doesn't have a red stripe" the assistant replied-"well it's a sample, yours wouldn't say that" How am I supposed to be able to read the word sample without my contacts? The DR I saw also wore a mask and required me to wear one but got upset with me that she had to continue to wipes the lenses off due to them fogging up. And actually asked me to stop doing that. I wish I had the lady's name that I talked with at the contact/glasses pickup desk. She was very nice and helpful. After testing out the new contact prescription, I call to order some contacts. First of all, it took me 2 days to even get anyone to call me back or answer the phone. When I finally was able to talk to someone, I told I needed to order contacts and she immediately said "well someone will have to all you back." I tried to explain that I had gotten new insurance and she cut me off. I get a call back and explain I'm trying to order contacts and I have a new insurance card. The lady on the phone said-"why didn't you already give that to our receptionist?" I said "I tried, she cut me off and hung up" Then she said-"well how many are you wanting" I said-"can you tell me the cost difference between 1 year supply and 6 month supply?" She said-"I'll have to put you on hold." After being on hold, she came back to tell me the total for 1 year supply. I asked what the cost of a 6 month supply would be. She said-"I wish you would have told me that before I ran it. I have to put you back on hold." I asked INITIALLY for prices on both. When I arrived to pick up my contact a week later, the front desk again was on their phone while I was standing there and asked what I needed. I said I'm just here to pick up some contacts. She rolls her eyes and said-"that's over there." I go over to the other desk and begin reading the sign on how to pick up glasses/contacts, you fill a paper out and put in the basket. Again, new to this office and I don't know the protocol for this. A lady asks-"what are you doing?" I explained I was doing what the sign said. She rolled her eyes and said-"what's the name?" I responded with my name. She looked at me and sarcastically started spelling my last name back to me so I just spelled my whole last name. I was handed my contacts, no bag or anything. I walked out and vowed I would never return and will NEVER recommend this office anyone. Save your time and money and find an office that values their employees to have manners and be polite. Not rude or make them to feel like they are an idiot. I had ONE positive interaction out of 7 different employees in this office. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
