St Bernard Eye Care Glasses Department

This place had horrible service and was rude. I went there three times to try to purchase new eye glasses. After looking at the hours of operation on google and the office door, which said they close at 6:00 pm I was told by the lady standing at the locked office door that they close at 5:00. The next time I went before 5:00pm and was told they close at 4:30pm. The lady standing at the door was extremely dismissive and said that google was wrong and the office door was wrong. She did not allow me to come in even though I got there before 5:00pm and stated " I have something going on right now" I will not be going back to this place to purchase new eyeglasses.

I've been coming here for my eye care for a couple of years now. Front desk receptionists were always unwelcoming and nonchalant. This time I came 20 minutes before closing hours and the doors were already locked. I understand and did not mind if they had closed early, but the front desk receptionists made eye contact with me through the door and proceeded to ignore me rather than offering assistance. I stood there for a couple of minutes while they continued to sit there and act like they didn't see me. After awhile, they finally asked me what I needed in a rude manner as they were leaving to their car. Definitely won't be coming back.

We'll never go there again. Made an appointment and told them my insurance company. Day of appointment they do a retina exam that I don't get told till after my exam that I owe $20 for that because my insurance doesn't cover that. Then when trying to get mine, my granddaughters and my aunt's prescriptions filled we're told that they can't fill it because, they do not accept my insurance company. they said that the eyeglass and I exam departments are two different companies. Even if that is true they should tell you that you should check to see if you can get your prescription filled with them before making an appointment assuming you're going to get your glasses there too. So, of course now we have no glasses and have to find a place that I can get the prescription filled elsewhere an absolute joke!!!!

Walked in to the office today attempted to repair a pair of glasses - I waited quite a while for help, but it seemed as if I was being ignored... Attendant stated that my glasses were "unrepairable". I went to another optic where they were more than happy to take my business. Service needs improvement.

Some of the laziest people I have ever seen. They changed their policy so that you can't walk in and pick a new pair of glasses, you now have to get an eye exam every time, even though as an adult your prescription actually rarely changes. AND no matter what insurance you have the exam now cost $20! Gotta squeeze as much as you can out of your loyal customers!

I think this place is lucky for how convenient its location is for a lot of St. Bernard residents. The service and overall customer experience has never been good. Although the actual doctors are very kind and caring, the front desk receptionists are extremely rude and unwelcoming.

Was on vacation and had a damaged pair of contacts and called to ask if they have any trial packs. Renee picked up and I gave her my 1-800 contact prescription and she had me come in and gave it to me. No hassle whatsoever. Amazing thank you!

Been going here since I was a teenager. But now I have had enough. The Man working in the eye glasses area is rude with the most horrible customer service skills ever for a grown adult. Makes nasty comments to his workers regarding you right in front of you.
