Everyone at the location was friendly and very helpful. Dr Nguyen was very thorough and talked me through every test that was done and how my eyes are changing. Thank goodness for someone that could help me pick out glasses! This is always the hardest part of my appointment! He had me try on some frames to see what type looked best on me and went from there. I could not have had a better experience and I would recommend Eyewares to everyone I know!

Dr. Nyugen was so kind and helpful as was the entire staff there. Very patient and they listen to your visual needs. Dr. Nyugen was the first person to ever talk about eye health to us. Using eye drops daily like Refresh and to stay away from ClearEye and Visine for eye health. I'm so glad she gave us knowledge on this. Not only for my daughter but for my husband and I as well. There were also so many great frames for my daughter to choose from. It's such a charming atmosphere.

This place charges an extra $45 for a comprehensive eye exam on top of my vision insurance co-pay, and the cost of contact fitting is $50-100 more expensive than other places. I found this place to be a ripoff - if you're looking to pay for an expensive eye exam and pricey eyeglasses, then this is the right place for you.

So I've had two experiences with this location in Covington. The first one last year with a different doctor was positive, but today when I went, it was horrible. When I questioned the doctor about contact selections for my son she was rude to me. She only gave us one choice even when I asked if he could try other brands. The reason I asked that as I know that contact lenses are different for each individual. She proceeded to tell me that I was older and that she was the professional. I thought that was quite rude, but I said OK. After my son was fitted, they gave him a free samples and we went somewhere else to buy the contact lenses. When I found out the price of the contact lenses which were over $1000 for a year supply I couldn't believe it. They were the most expensive ones we could've possibly have gotten. I immediately called the office and asked if they could prescribe something different and if we could get a sample for my son to try other more affordable brands. I was told they would talk to the doctor and call me back. After sometime I hadn't received a call back so I called them back and they did prescribe a different contact lens, but they would not give us a sample to try. I've never gone to an eye doctor and had to purchase a contact lens that you were not able to try before purchasing. We paid an $80 contact fitting fee + $229 for an eye exam and in the past at this location I was given samples of contacts to try to make sure they were correct. I was not angry with the staff. I did not yell or curse and when I asked for the prescription I was told it would be emailed and then I was hung up on. I called back put on hold and hung up on. Called back and went to voicemail. I waited five minutes and called back and got a nice young lady who sent the prescription to my email so we could get my son's contact lenses. Now I don't know if they're going to be comfortable for him or if he can wear them or not. I just cannot believe that a professional would be so rude. Live and learn and I will never darken their doorstep again. $309 is a very expensive lesson!

Ally has been extremely helpful in the process of getting my son's glasses. There was an issue with UPS getting the glasses to the lab , which caused a delay, but she was very helpful in communication and seeing it through until we actually we received the glasses.

The store itself is clean, stylish, and well-organized, but it's the service that really makes Eye Wares a gem. Once was one time too Many !!!! Took my wife to this Covington location to have her bifocal lens replaced. Met with Elizabeth who took down her info and told her to browse the frames. When informed she was keeping her frames the salesmanship deflated. Advised she would work up a price and call back with a quote. Elizabeth did indeed call that afternoon stating my wife's portion for the lenses ALONE would be $411.01. **** keep in mind the insurance company's portion would ALSO PAY OUT $250.00 **** Thinking this was quite high, I the husband contacted Elizabeth myself to confirm ....that based on those figures for lenses alone would be $ 661.01. for basic bifocal lens, Is that correct? She said YES.... **** Update, took the exact prescription to Sam's Club Vision Center in Covington obtaining a quote, on basic bifocal lens to be put into her frames with a 10-day turnaround for a grand total of $28.00 After Insurance applied. Yes that was TWENTY EIGHT DOLLARS. **** Just a mere $383.01 Savings.

This doctor was recommended to me by a friend. She was very thorough and I felt comfortable. I love the selection of glasses to choose from. Will definitely go there in the future.
